Hi guys, I found this thread after getting my cam and the Cynova adapter and experiencing the clipping problem.
Yesterday I got this inexpensive volume control from Amazon and turned down 2/3 it works really well.

I put a piece of tape over the volume pot to hold it in place.

A high pass EQ on the audio track in DaVinci Resolve removes the low frequency rumble. The test clip is in German but for a sound check this should be OK

I did a  ride inside the cabin of a car, and   I swore I talked, camera was 16 inches in front of me, Lol hardly heard what I said.

Same problem. Back to GoPro/Media Mod if this isn't fixed soon...

I have a couple of ideas based upon my recent experience using my OSMO to capture video in flight in my airplane while also recording radio and intercom conversations.  I found the Cynova adapter works well but I had to use a Line to Mic adapter cable to lower the gain.  https://www.headsetbuddy.com/mic ... e-for-dslr-cameras/  Then the audio is perfect.  But I found another thing that affected the audio and that was when i powered the camera from my panel USB power port or from a USB power port in the cigarette lighter (yes, this is a 1976 plane with a cigarette lighter!) it cut off the audio and or distorted it.  I then tried powering the OSMO using a battery power brick and that worked fine.  Ultimately I inserted an audio ground loop isolator in the audio line along with the mic-line level adapter and then everything worked fine using power from my panel.  Also, for what it's worth, I am plugging the Cynova with audio and power connected to it into a 12 foot long USB-C cable (2 X six foot cables) to the camera which is mounted on the wing.  Keeps the camera powered up and I control start and stop with the MIMO app.  Works great!   Hope some of this may prove helpful.

I had a good experience using the Cynova adapter and a mini lavalier microphone, those inexpensive ones. I put in two foams and wrapped some sewing thread. I've strapped the mic to the intercom mic stick, but you can also put the mic inside the helmet shell.

The mini microphone is the same as this one (it has to be the mini, there are others similar that are a little bigger, it didn't work).

I still haven't found a good place for my lav-mic in my helmet.
I use external recorder and sync in post, but will receive my Cynova adapter soon and will check if it will give about the same or worse/better sound that I have now.

Your setup gave really good sound, could hear you really clear.

Yes, I just got the OSMO ACTION 1, I too have the clipping sound in my audio.  DJI, please help resolve this.
