The problem battery was the one I used to do the initial update and I did the TB 48's afterwards.

Make sure you empty it and then let it fully charged.

Hi Autumn. I let it go down to 3% and fully charged it again but it did not remove the warning. Is It safe to leave it on the ground switched on beyond 3% and will the battery switch off automatically when it is fuly discharged?

Surprisingly the right FW version is displayed now without doing anything...

Position holding and GPS drop seem to be solved.

But there seems to be an issue with the SOFT setting of the camera. It has no effect anymore.
Has anybody else noticed?

Ed sorry but maybe this is not the place to ask but can you help me with and issue in my inspire? when I am flying the bird rocks from side to side. You can not tell in the inspire cam but I installed a 5.8mhz cam in the nose and there you can really see the rocking from side to side? any Ideas. I have a very short video I can send or post.

Updated two batteries, RC and Aircraft. Update went without issue. I've made 4 flights since the upgrade with no GPS drop. Only issue I have experienced has been on my 3rd flight. About 2 minutes into the flight, with gear up, and an Alt of about 7-10 feet, the bird seemed like it was drifting down. It was almost as if it was in ATTI mode however only seemed to want to move in a downward direction. I pulled up and out and came back for another lower hover without experiencing the same issue. 4th flight went without issue.

yes, same problem here.
when on the ground status is safe to fly GPS but after took off, compass error showing.
moving by itself without me touching the remote.
landing it straight away very slowly.
never had this problem with firmware .17
post my problem to my local drone community, some say that it might be due to K index is high, 6 is showing.
any solutions should i try before trying another flight tommorow? thanks

I just finished my first flight since installing the latest firmware (which went very smoothly by the way), and am now recharging my batteries.  I noticed that the battery lights now have different flashing pattern while on the charger.  Instead of the lights scrolling "upward" while charging, the top most LED is flashing 3 times every few seconds.  Is this normal?  Not sure if my battery is actually being charged at this moment or what?

All perfect ! great ! For the RC i always link camera to RC by USB cable.
Only one small problem, the voice of camera got a cold at the end.

NO, I don't think this is normal at all. after I did the update my battery still charging normal. maybe you need to call DJI technical support. GOOD LUCK.

Good but the bug still in the App 1.0.10 for Android. Check if you Gimbal moves correctly in all %.

Is the battery warm? If yes You have to wait it to cool down.

I too have a problem with Android App 1.0.10 no flight simulator and  I do not see any way to download the imags or videos to the tablet. any one have a suggestion?

UPDATE:  I found that after some short time, the battery appears to be charging normally again.  I'm wondering if the new firmware first completely discharges the battery when first plugged in before it starts to fully charge it? Let's see what happens when I put my 2nd battery on the charger.

Hi Autumn. I left the battery on until it would no longer switch back on and that has worked, the warning message has gone. Thanks for your help. Sadly I stil have a gimbal problem.

With version 1.0.10 of the Android App theres no video image on my tablets. it works only at my samsung S4.

Another thing: the camera moves slowly clockwise and up, until it arrives at the end position. If i disconnect the S4 from USB, the gimbal stops moving. If I reconnect the S4, the gimbal moves again. the problem.........

Had an old smartphone with the old app version, not updated, theres everything OK. It seems that app version 1.0.10 has some bugs. Also it FCs (force closed) sometimes after some minutes in use.

I have had a few gimbal problems since getting my inspire. The new firmware update has fixed the gimbal twitch problem that I think a few people have had. I was hoping that it would also fix the issue that I have where the gimbal seems to give up and lose control but sadly it hasn't. The attached link shows a video I took after the firmware update. The Inspire itself flies well and is very stable. The video shows the mid section of a short video of a reservoir. As I turned to bring the craft home, the video quality on the app became very broken and I got a message regarding poor video signal. As you can see the gimbal lost control. The video looks as if the aircraft itself is out of control but It wasn't, it was responding to inputs correctly. I had been flying using the video signal for FPV so at first I was giving inputs based on the video. Once I realised that the gimbal had given up and the camera was no longer pointing in the right direction, I reverted back to line of sight flying and regained control. You will see the horizon is all over the place. After a second or two the gimbal stabilised and I tentatively flew back to home.



Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Not so good here.
Successfully updated batteries, both controllers and the Inspire and when I turn on the system, the camera has no picture and the inspire has a solid red led on the back stating IMU Error.
Red triangle error on the controller says accelerometer failed.And the Android app is crashing like mad now.
Now what?

UPDATE: Android app crashing and no picture from camera seems to be only on my Galaxy Tab 4 but not my Samsung Note 3 phone.
Recalibrated the IMU which said successful but still a solid red led and IMU error and accelerometer failed mesages.

Had my first flight with new software & android update. My bird Zues flew like a dream with no problems and no GPS fall out. BUT.....once I landed and tried to put it in travel mode once I took the camera off...it went into take off made when I flip the switch 4 times...so I held it in the air and tried again..then it went into take off mode...this done it a few times....did I do something wrong?? Next thing is.......after doing recording of videos, nothing shows up on my android phone about my recording or flight..is there something im not programming properly??.....Lastly when I plugged my sd card from my Inspire into my PC..alot of the footage is stagnet..stop, starts.....as if its lagging......the SD card is the one that comes with my unit...what could this issue be?? Any help would be appreciated & safe flying......

Following the upgrade imu calibration was needed. Vertical speed when doing this fluctuates tricking the machine into thinking it's moving   At this point the calibration aborts and states the aircraft was moved. Any thoughts?

Snow Finally stopped so got to fly with new FW...   Excellent flight!  NOTHING went wrong.  I went higher and further than I dared in the past.

Did upgrade followed by test flight.  All fine however after 13 minutes into flight the app read out in RED MC ERROR.  Landed turned off IN1 and RC control did a restart and I'm back in the green.   Has  this happened to anyone else?

I cant say that this has happened to me Zack. Hope fully it was just a minor glitch....don't forget to check your K-Index before flights, it has been known to play a part in interfering with the Inspire.

Major bummer upgrading...

This is what mine did except it goes back to a red led (IMU ERROR) within about 1 minute and sometimes right away.
As well as the MC Data Error message, mine has an Accelerometer Failed message.
Spent over 2 hours chatting with DJI support.
Had me connect the craft to the computer via the usb port by the back led light.
Then entered Flight Data Mode and deleted the .DAT files.
Didn't work and was never resolved. Still have the MC Data Error message and the Accelerometer Failed message.Also, there is no longer any camera output to my Galaxy Tab 4 and DJI support says that the Tab 4 is not on their list of supported devices. Really? Since when?? Been working fine untill now. Will have to contact LA support.

As I said earlier in this thread, I installed the new firmware without incident and have had no problems or GPS drop out issues. What I have noticed is that when I'm flying in a straight line at a moderate to fast speed and enter a tight turn (while in GPS mode) the I1 will drift the corner like it's in ATTI for a few feet. Where as before the update the I1 (in GPS mode) would turn in a non-drifting controlled turn. And overall the controls feel slightly different, and the I1 appears to respond just a little quicker to control inputs then it did before the update.
The drift effect I can compensate for, but I would like to get the controls back to the way they were before the upgrade. I know they're adjustable I will just have to figure out how to do it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Updated my Inspire, 5 batteries, two R/C's this morning.  All were success.  I didn't remove the text file between battery updates, checked the log afterwards and all 5  batteries were listed as success.  I flew all 5 batteries this evening and everything seemed to work well.  Also first flights with new quick release props.  I have noticed a loss of altitude when flying straight forward.

Thanks Stephen, Dave & all,  after my post did upgrade  on the other two batteries then did a short flight.  The original MC Error did not show up but it looks like there's a video downlink problem where every so often shaky  and pixelated  or worse a black screen happens.  Loss the mapping interface at the end of flight.  It almost acted like it is an antenna issue where it happened when turning more than not.  Distance was not a factor because it was within 300 ft. On  both axis from home. Think you're right Steve  that these glitches are minor bugs  for the most part.  My question to all is it better to leave In1 alone and fly or do another install even though  I'm  in  the green safe to fly?  And continue reading threads
