Notes:

I second to that ! No reason why we should not do the same with the Mavic PRO

Nice little increase in ascent speed.

Hopefully DJI Go 4 v4.2.5 for IOS will be available soon , i upgraded to 11.2.5 on my Iphone  7 plus and the app has been acting strange. It crashes if i try to enter the forum or the dji store

I wonder just how much the image quality has improved. I've seen on a lot of reviews comparing the Air to the Pro and the Pro was slightly sharper in most cases. I wonder if this patch closes that gap any. Great to seem them already improving a fantastic drone. Now if I can just get mine delivered.

I've updated the DJI GO 4 app on my iphone and I found out that I no longer can see max/current battery capacity in battery status page for my mavic pro (numerical value of mAh). To many complaints about battery degradation, huh? ;) Reminds me of Apple removing "time on battery remaining" feature from its laptops ;)

And yes, I agree as well that you should bring new quickshots on mavic pro.

DJI Assistant 1.2.0 is not ready for the mavic air, when I plugged the aircraft it shows as Mavic 2-3 once i clicked on it it goes into a white screen and it doesn't do anything else , the update with the DJI Go 4 app went smooth for both aircraft and remote using an I phone 7 Plus with 4.2.4

First thing wrong with the firmware for the Mavic air, the back light in the aircraft that is supposed to blink while flying , doesn't blink anymore, it now only blinks when connecting to remote after it is connected it goes dark.

my only mistake was to buy the drone on the DJI.com website. Because in the physical DJI store in Milan it's on sale today ... I could already have it in my hands now T_T

I agree.  Asteroid looks cool.

But Mavic Pro or Spark lag of rear sensor.  So what happen when it crash to object at the back when doing Asteriod fly?

Taillight working again after doing a refresh of the firmware with the newly released DJI Assistant 1.2.2 which now recognizes the Mavic Air but not it's remote.

Remote will most probably be upgraded from DJI Go 4 when required, just as it is with the Spark

Yes you are correct , that's how I updated mine via GO 4 , but I think I saw a video from DJI support updating the Mavic Air remote using assistant 2 just like how you can update the Pro.

Could you please share link to this version of Assistant? I can only see 1.2.0 on the dji website. Since my Mavic Air wifi stopped working, I'd really like to connect it to assistant.

While I upgraded remote and Air firmware via my iPhone, the DJI YouTube Video (Calibrating the Aircraft Vision systems) advises using this software. Is there an alternate for calibrating the software.

FYI - I'm struggling with the obvious gaps between a great marketing job and a number of coming soon videos and software that a model behind.

Any advice to get me flying would be hugely appreciated.

And you have seen it correctly. It was a great and positive surprise for me to see it in the tutorial video. If it really works, that would be major progress. I have seen a post stating that RC update did not work with the new version of DJI Assistant. But this might be an issue with which cable and on which slot it has to be done. I'll test myself as soon as I eventually get my Air delivered.

I tried with the original cable that came with the Air , and its little type c to micro USB adapter ...and also with the RC cable that came with my Mavic Pro , tried different ports on my PC and nothing

Hi, thank you for the additional information. Looks like there still is a bug in DJI Assistant concerning the RC then.
My Mavic Air has been traced in the UK today for customs clearing as part of a big shipment to Europe. Thus I expect to get it still this week, thank you for asking :-)

Cheers - just downloaded - 2+1.2.2.820 is newer build than version I downloaded and attempted to install 14hrs ago. Seems the engineering teams playing catchup with marketing (been there done this). Oh well. As BillG always said, publish and be damned.

Received my mavic air today and so far so good. Need to figure out the camera as the options are limited as of now and no autofocus as it shows locked. flight time is less then what they say with about 16 min a battery just like the spark. Fun little drone and all updated with no problem. my biggest gripe is why have a multiple battery charger that only charges one battery at a time. Thought I was going crazy but you would think it would charge all at once.

Firmware hung at 99%.  Waited for 20 minutes and reset MA.  Now I can’t connect via DJI GO4 or Assistant 2 (latest version).  USB won’t recognize the device (on multiple PC’s).

Is there a way to factory reset?

After inserting an SD Card and choosing 'Storage Location SD Card' display shows internal storage icon and '8019 MB'
Choose 'Internal Storage' and the display shows SD card icon '121754MB'.

Stuck at 30% on Firmware update for 30+minutes.
RC started beeping. Unplugged phone from RC for 15 seconds and it started updating. Plugged phone back into RC.
Stuck at 99% for 4 minutes. RC died.

I guess the only thing to do is recharge and start the whole process again.
Updating firmware is a pain and very stressful.
Surely there's got to be an easier way?

My firmware update took about 25 mins. After which the remote repeatedly crashes every time I tried to use it. Turned everything off and on again, and all good. I got lucky I guess.

I was able to update my MP using DJI Assitant but not the remote.

The current version of DJI Assistant 2 doesn’t recognize the remote , maybe on the next release . for now just connect your controller to you phone make sure your phone has network access , and update it using the DJI Go 4 App.

Can you fix it? I wait for more than 40 minutes in 99%. Should reset? Or do something?
