Meanwhile I am quite sure that DJI will NEVER support the goggles for the Mini!
First, the goggles are running a simplified and adapted version of the 32 bit compatible GO4 app, while the Mini is using the Fly app, requiring a 64 bit Android OS.
I tend to agree with you GerdS,
The original request in this forum came over 3 months ago and all the replies seen from the support team mention the word patience and that the request will be passed to the engineers ... Well the least someone would expect after all this time is some feedback, on their plans, or if there is a technical difficulty some abstract description of the problem.
Perhaps they remain silent (e.g. no feedback at all for over 3 months on their intentions) because they do not intend to support the goggles (either as a marketing policy or possible technical difficulties). If that is the case this is simply unprofessional and unethical. If on the other hand, after 3 months, they still havent replied and feedback from the designing teams or there is communication problem then this is simply a sign of incompetence !
I am sure, our concerns will be forwarded to the developing/support team and all with a bit of patience in the next 2-3 years and after a new low end model come out, we will have our answer ...
(By the way, I have a mavic mini and as other people here, one of the main reasons to buy it was my assumption that it works with all DJI products as per DJI's advertisment ...).
So many requests for 100s of people and so many months without even a reply from DJI on their intentions for this feature ... Simply unacceptable ! |
