I typically use YouTube's built-in subtitle feature when I add subtitles to my YouTube videos. It's pretty straightforward: once you upload your video, head to the 'Subtitles' tab in YouTube Studio and you can either manually type them in or upload an SRT file. I sometimes use free software like Subtitle Edit to create the SRT file if I'm doing it outside of YouTube. The interface is user-friendly and you can sync the subtitles to the video easily.
