So mine auto updated to 2.02, and it would not run without crashing in first few seconds.  So no dji ...

Test the new Go-App 2.0.0 for Android on Phantom 3 Pro, FW 1.3.20.

After installation I've got problems until the Go App finally ran.
After that I've got no App crash during test ... so far so good!

Problem with the CPU load is not eliminated.
The Go App starts the process "com.google.process.gapps" (same as Pilot-App)
A CPU load between 50-80% ended up to the already known temperature problems ...

on Asus Momo Pad 8: In case of switching to the map I lost live-viewing (Pilot App 1.1.0 was OK)
On Lenovo Life Tab: During the test no abnormalities detected (except the CPU load)

Waited so long for the new Andriod Go-App ... and then missing the big breakthrough!

Clean and Stop Go App 2.0.0, delete Folder, make a Complete new Installation.

I've had three App crashes while a 20min flight.

Pilot App 1.2.0 - more unstable (some problems with App-Crash, CPU load/Temperature, local Video-Cache,...")
Go-App 2.0.0 - worked for me (some problems and CPU load issue).
Go-App 2.0.1 - unstabel (more App-crashes)
Go-App 2.0.2 - not usable (crash, crash, crash)

Hi. I've test the Nvidia Shield on the table, not at the air. On the ground successfull without issues per 1 hour. Hope to test at the AIR  this weekend.

So I couldn't got message" DJI DO unfortunatly made an Error"or e t.c ( that errors what i've seen during my previous flights) Only two times i've seen Disconected but in a second app start up again. Disconect was after I'll start or stop video recording. Not every time but a few(2times)
So now I must have a real flights. Hope I can fix)). Try! May be it will be usefull to You.

I have tested 2.0.02 with Sony Xperia Z3 Compact tablet. I get also one total disconnect issue.
I have stayed in 2.0.01 version with my Nvidia Shield. It is very stable, no crash.

By the way, have you notice Nvidia Shield Recall? https://forums.geforce.com/defau ... dia-shield-tablets/

My three Android devices are original config.
When I turn off Google Services, then there comes a point where the App no longer work.
Last working Pilot Version for my Flight Tab (Asus MeMo 8) was 1.1.0 !
Frustrating for me ... upgrade, test, downgrade ... all the time ... again and again.

OK, DJI  ... Firmware_v1.3.20 is really well done ... stable as hell.
But the stability of the Android App is a nightmare ... and I do not wake up!
Actually, I just want to fly safely. That's all ... only beautiful flights.
But how will that work if the App quit unexpectedly ... or not even work.

Except high cpu usage and video feed stuttering i have not noticed any unstability. I have disabled cache, and when i downgrade google play services everything works well.
DJI should fix this high cpu usage and thats all.

... not only the high CPU Usage (that annoys me also) is the last big thing.

As I wrote above: - from GO App Version 2.0.0 to v2.0.1 and v2.0.2 the GO App works on two out of three Android devices no longer!
And such a thing should not happen.
Now ... if I buy myself another new Android-Pad ... will this pad also function after the next Go App update?
How can I be sure? ... The release policy has to change very quickly!
Quality is in demand ... beta test is made prior to release .. not with the release (as at the moment)

Strange, on my works very well (except this high cpu usage). In fact i removed any bloatware and crap like facebook from my tablet and i am using it only for Phantom.

You will find the following statements (Compatible Devices and Go App)

SAMSUNG S6: ... more Vid lag
Samsung NOTE4: ... I am also having the video feed lag/stall issue
IPhone 6: ... the IPhone gets hotter and hotter
Xperia Z3: ... my Sony Xperia Z3 get hot and laggy

Some comments from a German forum (GO App 2.0.2):
Nexus 9: Over time the app is getting slower and slower.
Sony Xperia Z3: At irregular intervals stops App and disconnects from the RC
Sony Xperia Z3: Error message: com.Google.Process.gapps terminated
Samsung S5: After 20 minutes, the app is been frozen
Sony Xperia Z3: GO App shut down during flight / My App also keeps crashing.
Samsung S5:: Clean Master reports: Go App is launched in 5 minutes 6 times again and claims the benefit battery strongly.

All crazy? or are there  still problems?

I flew about 30 minutes today with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7" running 2.0.2 .  It never crashed and worked perfectly.

Yesterday I've tested in the field. Two flights about 10 min.  Nvidia Shield+ Go 2.0.2(47) from DJI site.
No dissconect and no crashes. Google Play was off. Background process=2 All apps exept Go stoped
Google services did not downgrade. Plane mode in device I fogot to activate. NO problem this time
Testing once more in a days.

Yes , thanks I have the deffective device too. Recall program was ativated month before. Nothing happend this day

well after i record and press stop the app crashes and i cant start the app as it crashes on boot.
when i manualy delete every dji data and reinstall i can start the app again.  well
untill my recording stops and i gotta repeat the process ......


never had this issue with the earlier releases

Same to me...what i did is reset the tablet to factory  setting becuse i read that when you uninstall the app it doesnt delete everthing ftom last versions.turn off the video catch and now it doesnt crash when rec presses

Update:
Go app 2.0.2 crashes on boot after installation.

Stop Go app, delete Go app, delete DJI folder ... reinstall Go app 2.0.2 from SD card.
Ok, no crash when starting the Go app

Then i went out for testing. After the first battery it started ...
-> com.google.process.gapps crash.
-> then after 1 min "GO-APP stop"  ... (restart Go app)
-> after 2 min "GO-APP stop"  ... (shut down app process and restart Go app)
-> after 1 min "GO-APP stop"  ... finished! ... nothing works anymore!
A complete uninstall (including folder) was necessary.

I get the same thing "com.google.process.gapps no longer working"...when I first bought the tablet, it worked fine with GO 2.0.2.  I installed it on the device, not the SD Card...device memory usually runs faster.  After I logged more than 5 or 6 flights it started slowly getting worse and worse.  I tried clearing the Cache/Data from the app, it helped a little, but then went back to running like crap after a couple flights...I'll try a "factory reset" when I get home today and see if that helps...I don't use the tablet for anything but flying my P3P, so if there's nothing on it I don't care

Did the factory reset and flew twice now with no problems at all, no video lag, good signal...went out to 8000 ft and video was still fluid and responsive.  I downloaded the apk file and put it on my SD card so I can install it even when I don't have a wi-fi connection.  Seems that with no apps and no updates (I didn't even setup my google account after factory reset) it runs perfect.  I'll fly a few more times and see if the residual effect comes back or not...so far so good

I use my tab only for the phantom, ... otherwise there is nothing on it.
A good idea. I have not tried yet.
If the Go App 2.1.0 does not work well, ...  I'll try that out.

Well...by the fourth or fifth flight, the app was starting to lag again...I'm going to update my firmware and try out the new app/firmware today   

I noticed the new app re-connects the video alot faster when it loses signal...The screen just blinks for a second or two, then the video comes back...no need to restart the app
