I guess this is then the manufacturing date of the device ...August 2022...
Would this explain why, despite up-to-date firmware, I can't see any RID broadcast from the device, as per this discussion only devices manufactured after sept. 16, 2022 have RID support ?
It is not entirely clear to me if MP3's manufactured after 09/16 have "built-in" RID support because they ship with up-to-date firmware implementing RID or because they have the necessary hardware to implement it; IOW is updating the firmware on pre-09/16 devices sufficient to implement RID ? Or is RID support hopeless on these older units because they lack some hw ?.... (I do need RID in my area despite being EU "Class C0") see also this discussion)

Hello everyone.
I'm from Switzerland and will be on vacation in Florida in mid-November.
I have a Mavic Air2 with a smart controller and have made the latest updates.
( App 1.12.2 / Aircraft 01.01.1600 / Controller 01.01.0072 )
Unfortunately there is no option to enter the remote ID in the Smartcontroller.
Has anyone already done it and can help me?
Or is that only possible when I'm in the USA?

can you please confirm that for a Mini 3 Pro manufactured before 09/16 (2022), a firmware update is enough to implement Remote ID functionality ?
(and that if my up-to-date M3P doesn't broadcast anything, it's a device malfunction ?)

Hi, BenVCarlson. Thank you for reaching out. Can you please confirm if this is for USA FAA Remote ID? If yes, the Mini 3 Pro supports FAA RID requirements with the factory firmware version. The FAA RID will only be broadcasted once you're in the USA. Hope this helps.

The EU regulation do not require Remote ID for Class C0 UAS, HOWEVER the CTR where I used to fly adds its own requirement that mandates Remote ID for any UAS flying in category Open A1 regardless of the Cx class, as from 01/01/24

An unifiable brick is not an acceptable answer

You don't need RID indoors. Technically, you are not inside the NAS.
With that being said, it becomes a grey area when you are flying commercially inside a stadium for example, where the building is partially covered with a roof.

We received the RID update for the Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced a month ago but I still don’t see the UAS Declaration of Compliance listed with the FAA.
Is there a tracking number associated with the declaration?

Hi there, we are sorry that there is no firmware update for RID compliance for Mavic Air. We encourage you to consider purchasing a separate broadcast module to ensure compliance with remote ID regulations. Thank you for your understanding.

DJI did in fact release an upgrade for the Mavic Pro 2, I think the date was 11/23/2023, so they met their deadline. Major problem: at last check (12/4/2023) DJI does NOT have an official DOC on file with the FAA. It is highly questionable whether the upgrade is legal. So far (12/5/2023) neither DJI nor the FAA has commented.

Will there be a firm ware update for the Phantom 3 Standard or will it be able to use the Phantom 4 update when available?  If no firm ware update, is there an add on module capatible for the Phantom 3?
