I was a little curious but, what is the difference between the Version 1 and Version 2 of the Phantom 4 Pro?  Is there a dramatic changes to the software and hardware under the hood?  Because they look the same on the outside in my opinion.

Hi, Shawgod. Thank you for reaching out. Here are the differences between the Phantom 4 Pro and Phantom 4 Pro V2.0:
1. The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is equipped with a new OcuSync transmission system and can be connected to the DJI Goggles wirelessly.
2. The remote controller of Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is not compatible with the Phantom 4 Pro, which uses Lightbridge transmission.
3. The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 also features an upgraded propulsion system with FOC sinusoidal driver ESCs and 9455S quick-release propellers that reduce noise and make the drone more aerodynamic.
Hope this helps.

What do you think are the odds that sometime in the future that the Phantom 4 Pro Ver 1 will ever get RID?  I just don't want to buy a RID module and find out in a year that DJI releases a firmware update enabling RID in the Ver 1 P4P.

Thank you for your response, Shawngod. The DJI Phantom 4 Pro does not support RID-compliant firmware. Therefore, please purchase a third-party RID module that complies with RID MOC and add it to the aircraft. Should you have other inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach us. Thank you.

There is a post in another forum that says DJI will have a firmware update for the Phantom Pro V2 and Mavic 2 Pro by the end of the year.
