They removed it right after I was done taking photos and videos. I didn't know they were removing it.It does detract from the shot.

I liked having the lighthouse to give it something. If I crop it square you only see sidewalk.

Glad to see you had the chance to see your forum buddy IRL as well. It would be great to meet many of the people here live, but my budget unfortunately doesn't allow for that. Oh well, better to be able to talk to them through an online connection only at least than not having even that option.

Neither does Mine. He was close enough. I wish these profiles gave you a little more info so you could meet up with people.

It is a somewhat tricky question. On one hand, there is the point of making it easier to meet people, yet on the other some people want to keep it more private. Luckily, there could be the chance to ask for contact information through PM if you really want to meet somebody and are close enough to them.

That is true. I see both sides, but my experience is for the most part people in flight are nicer and more like minded. The features should be optional. Putting more information on  you profile also make you more responsible for your actions, but I see both sides..

I lost my "polar bear" ability to fly in below 32 degrees Fahrenheit temps many years ago, so we'll meet next spring.

Me too but I keep fighting it. I just bought finger gloves and a warm baseball hat. Hopping to get another month out of this.

Yesterday was warm enough for me to go back out to where we flew together and I lasted for 2 batteries long which was long enough for me
