You're welcome.  You do get much colder weather than we do here.  We can normally wear t-shirts, shorts and flip flops about 355 days a year.

That reminds me of why I moved south when I retired.  Single digit winter days are just too cold for me.

Too cold for me too. Right now it's about40 in the morning and that's too cold. It's borderline drone weather.

Yes they do, but then I'm afraid I'd lose touch sensitivity.  Anyway, shouldn't be a problem in my locale.

Thats a great full frame. I mostly publish internet so the c sensor works for me but nice camera.

Yeah, I got it crazy cheap at Amazon one day. I think they wanted to get rid of old stock or something but it was € 990,- instead of the usual € 1800 or more.
Brand new, so I could not resist.
Not a 3rd party dealer, really from Amazon. So yeah, I was super happy about that.
And the FF does make 'some' difference for me. Especially in low light.
Plus I love the extra shallow DOF that it gives compared to my D90.

I always wanted to pick one up for indoor real estate shots. I just couldn't justify the expense. That's a bargain.  The lenses get pricey too for full frame. Especially the wide angles for real estate.

I only shoot prime lenses, so I have the
20mm 1.8
35mm 1.8
50mm 1.4
and 85mm 1.8

It's not always as convenient as one lens, but 10x better image quality and I have grown used to choosing the right lens for 'a' situation and then stick with it.
I tend to get fewer shots, but the ones I do get seem to turn out better.
There is one exception and that is when there is something hectic going on (like the family festivities) with lots of kids moving around.

I have primes but rarely use them. You could say I'm a lazy photographer. I keep a 14-150 on my olympus. I keep a 9-14mm for real estate and a 150-300mm for wildlife. I use that on an Olympus eEM5 which is a micro 4/3 sensor which doubles the zoom. I only shoot primes when I have the luxury of shooting at my leisure and walking around. I understand the dedication to prime lenses.  If I'm doing a portrait shoot or product shoot primes are great.

Yes and they don't hurt the pocket as much. I have lots of Tamron and Sigma lenses for specialty shoots. There has to be a return on investment in photography.

Yeah, for me as a hobbyist, I mainly revert to the 2nd hand market.
But as of now, I only have 4 Nikon primes and I like them a lot!
