That would make for an interesting abode for sure.  Not sure what amenities they'd offer, but then again who knows as they might be plush inside.

The newer ones have all mod cons - but I wouldn't want to do more than holiday on one.

It take a different mentality of folks to live on a boat.  I should know because I'm one of them.  
Living on my boat is my freedom. If I get tired of the local scenery all I have to do is untie some lines and fire up the diesels and get underway and the scenery changes quickly.  No doubt it is a different life.

Way too many years to count.  I've been to all 5 oceans (Arctic, Atlantic, Indian, Pacific, and Southern (Antarctic)).  I lost count of how many of the 76 recognized seas I've been to.  So for me the Navy's slogan of Join the Navy and See the World was definitely true.

Looks like a very nice route to take a stroll on. As for the stabilization discussion, I do think there is no much problem here. The slight up-and-down bobbing I do find completely acceptable on a walking video, it is so minor it doesn't distract from watching the video. And as for your quality of videos in general, I think you're doing a great job. I would say way better than I do.

There was a long hiatus for me until I got the Pocket 2. Did try and do some small films with my friends during the boom of the Hi8 camcorders, but let's say we had more enthusiasm than actual skills
