As others have reported in this forum, the OA4 and Pocket 3 are suffering from stuttering/frame duplication issues when used in webcam mode.  I made a video about it demonstrating the issue here:


Is anyone else experiencing this bug?  Comment below so we can get DJI to fix this issue!

Thank you for your work, it’s a pity that there is no comparison UVC H264 vs RTMP H264
RTMP eliminates the influence of USB ports (camera, computer), USB cable.

By the way, considering that there is Action 4 in the test, this is not so important, but DJI support will definitely ask: during tests, did you connect the USB cable directly to the Pocket 3 or through an extension (battery handle, thread handle)?

Great job on this video.  The stutters are very noticeable.  Hopefully DJI will get their respective team on this issue quickly.

Its highly unlikely you will get a definitive answer as DJI rarely gives a time frame, heck, they might not even be working on it, there will be no way of knowing unless one of the R&D team comes on here.

Confirm, i live stream with DJI Action 4 and i'm experiencing the same stuttering issue.  I tried to change USB cables, tried short one (about 25 cm), it stutters the same with PC and streaming encoder. Connecting USB cable directly to camera.

I think if you connect them to the Camlink then it will be working since the Camlink will do all the processing and not your computer.

Action 3 nor Pocket 3 supports HDMI output. So the Camlink won't do you any good, or have I missed something? '

And the UVC issues with the DJI products is not from the hardware you connect them to, the issue is withing the camera.

And the UVC issues with the DJI products is not from the hardware you connect them to, the issue is withing the camera.

Not sure if they support direct HDMI output, think people have talked about it before that it/they doesn't.

He should tested with other brands to check how they work with same connection through usb.

Hi, PeloTom. Are you still having this issue? If yes, may we ask for the details below?

1) Which port is the use of Pocket3? The battery handle or the thread handle?
2)  Are you using Mac or Windows? Please tell us the system specs of your unit
3) What kind of cable is used to connect the PC?
4) What software is connected to Webcam? OBS?
5) Did you record a video by pocket when using Webcam?
6) Export the device log, and the remarks of abnormal date and approximate time.

How to export a Log File?
1. Reproduce the abnormal process.
2. Go to camera unit System Settings - Device Info. Tap “Export Logs”.
3. Mount the camera unit and front touchscreen module/power module. Connect to Osmo Action 4 in a computer using a USB cable.
4. Select “File Transfer” on the Osmo Action 4 screen. Go to “My Computer”. Find the corresponding disc for the Osmo Action 4 (internal storage).
5. Export all log files and zip them. Send the entire zip file back for analysis and confirmation (Also check the time point when the abnormality occurred to determine the log position).
