In this post discussing EU RID Compliance for the Matrice 300, @DJI Susan stated that the M300 has been discontinued. This is news to many of us, as no formal announcement has been made and the last time DJI released a product life cycle statement here was in 2021, just a year after the release of the M300. So it seems DJI "Enterprise" or "Pro Systems" drones costing US $10-15K are being retired within 5 years of release, which seems to be an accellerated life cycle.

When will DJI publish an updated Product Life Cycle / Suspension of Service statement covering all existing "Enterprise" drones and sensors?

This doesn't look like the web page for a discontinued product to me. DJI admins are so bad at handing out wrong information.

Agreed, the true status of the M300 (and pretty much all other DJI drones of similar or newer vintage) is far from clear, as was discussed in the previously linked thread. By "discontinued", did @DJI Susan mean "no longer in development", or "no longer in production", or something else? Clearly they are still being sold and supported. Or was their remark just an off-the-cuff one with no real basis in fact?

Hence my request for an authoritative, definitive statement from DJI.

Hi, there. We are sorry for the misunderstanding. "The M300RTK has been discontinued" means that the product is no longer in production, but we will still provide technical services. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Thank you for the clarification, @DJI Susan. That is very helpful.

Can you please let us know when DJI plans to officially announce this and other new developments in an updated Product Life Cycle statement? This is important information that your Enterprise users need in order to plan their professional operations.

It's hard to take your apology seriously when in the very next sentence you are just adding to the confusion once again. Webster dictionary defines discontinued as "no longer produced or provided". On DJI's store it is still happily being provided for $13,700.

Thank you @DJI Wanda-

Can you please explain:
  • "Currently, we will update the EOS products regularly" but the statement in the link you provided was from July 2022
  • In this thread it was stated that the Matrice 300 has been "discontinued" (which was explained as equivalent to "Production Suspension Time" status in the EOS post), yet no update has been posted.

Thank you @DJI Wanda-

Can you please explain:

For your questions:
1. It is related to the logic of the Forum. The date of the thread is the time when the thread was created.
We updated the thread but the time and date did not change.
2. As DJI Susan explained above, she actually means EOP in the text.
End-of-Production (EOP): production discontinued.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused previously.

It would be helpful if updates could be made in a way so that the new information has a new timestamp. If you simply make edits to the original post, how are we to know that there is new information?

Also, if you wait until a platform is nearing EOS to add it to the list as was previously explained, how are we to know when EOP (which comes way earlier) is approaching, other than one-off responses like the one that begat this whole exchange?

Given DJI's extremely accelerated product life cycle, I think it is reasonable for your customers (especially Enterprise ones) to want the most up to date information possible.
