There are about 1192 islands in Maldives and 26 Atolls. Kuredu Resort is located on the Lhaviyani atoll and the hotel has 383 air conditioned rooms. It takes about 40 minutes to fly there with a sea plane from Male. Kuredu has all inclusive and 5 restaurants and 7 bars. So you never go thirsty. There is also a bar in the room.

Thank you very much for your comment Bleriot53. Have to take the opportunity in visiting before the Arctic and Antarctic ice melts and there are no mor islands there. Perhaps 30 - 40 years left. Most of them are about 1,2 - 1,5m above water level.

It's the humidity that gets to me rather than the heat,   but I guess you spent a lot of time in the water to cool off.

Yes I totally agree with you. The humidity is a killer. But there is one more killer and that is the long flying time with some time long waiting at either Doa or Dubai. Many times I have said that this is the last time and this time I think it is.

It is also a very long and tiering trip.
My other favourite place much closer to home for diving is a place called Sahl Hasheesh, south of Hurgada in Egypt. Very clear water and plenty of fish. I think I have some videos on YouTube about this. There is a professional diving organisation there with a large boat and friendly people that I have dived with several times.
