Is it ok to fly the Inspire 1 without the X3 camera attached? Will this likely increase flight time, or is the camera weight/power consumption a small overall fraction of the total so the flight time difference will be insignificant?

I notice in the status bar of the DJI Go app, that the bar is red and it says "No Signal". There is GPS signal. Is the no signal just referring to no signal from the camera?

Also, I notice other threads on altitude. I'm flying with another GPS unit on the Inspire 1, and it suggests my altitude was ~25m, while the Inspire reports ~50m. Is the Inspire using GPS or barometric pressure to compute altitude? Is the altitude accurate at this stage?

Thanks,
James

I'm not  sure about how accurate is your gps module, but looking the way inspire hovers and holds the altitude, i would say it's own GPS is very accurate.

Yes, you can fly without the camera.

"No signal" is  from the camera not being attached.
