I just sold my P3 and ordered a P4. Quick question that I have never heard a good answer on. To turn off the engines, one simply puts left stick all the way down for 1-2 seconds. Am i missing something or does this just seem like a bad idea? Is there a way to turn this feature off - it sure seems like people would accidentally be dropping Phantoms out of the sky inadvertently when descending in a hurry. I know I have wanted to get lower as fast as possible before but was always scared that if I pushed the throttle down too much, the engines would cut off. I thought maybe the downward facing sensor would be 'smart' enough to know if it was way off the ground, but I have held my phantom over a ledge and was still able to cut the engines by full left stick down. am I the only one who thinks this feature is a bad idea, and that it could simply be replaced by the other way we start / stop the engines...i.e. both sticks down and inward? |
