THanks guys, for whatever reason, it was the Google pixel phone that was the problem. I'm now using an Ipad Mini, and everything is fine...

Thanks guys, for whatever reason, after an update everything worked fine with the ipad, but not with my phone.
I changed the cable and now everything is shiny on both the Ipad Mini 3 and the Google Pixel 2.
