Hi Donnie,

I'd checked all sensors' MOD values before flight and all were normal - Gyroscope 0.0 ...

Mine did the same thing on firmware 1.9 Henry. Luckily I had read this thread so I identified the faults as soon as they happened. Was hard to land softly the first time as it was descending on its own. Have downgraded to 1.8 until they fix the bugs. Have never had any problems with the inspire until this latest update

Hi Brendanabbott,

The issues were intermittent - I first encountered the issues twice amongst several normal flights on 19 Jun 2016. One week later, after completing IMU calibration I carefully flew the I1Pro - no issue at all during the several flights on 25 & 26 Jun 2016. Today I encountered the issues again, exactly the same uncommanded climbing without autoraising landing gear. I have not downgraded and am still at FW v1.09.01.10 at this moment.

It seems to me DJI has been working hard in diagnosing and addressing the issues - I received an email from DJI with hyperlinks pointing to two files referred as "internal firmware" for Inspire 1 & Inspire 1 Pro respectively. I downloaded the 2 files and am considering upgrading.

Will provide any findings upon completion of upgrading with the "internal firmware" and test-flying.

thake the update of from the website before more people have issues withe the latest update!!!!

But to do that would mean an admission something is wrong which DJI as a Chinese company is culturally incapable of doing.

It will be 'Fixed' but nothing was ever 'wrong' in the first place

Hi Folks,

I have upgraded my I1 Pro with the "internal firmware" from DJI Support Team and tested it out in this morning with 4 packs of batteries (8 taking-offs & 8 landings). I would like to advise that the I1 Pro with the "internal firmware" consistently performed as it should be, with both X3 & X5 attached.

I am looking forward to DJI's official release of the firmware after DJI has received further feedbacks from other Fellow I1 Owners to whom DJI sent these "internal firmware" and from their own tests.

In the mean time, I wish all who upgraded to FW v1.09.01.10 good luck!

Happy and safe flying!

Hi Henry,
I've got confirmation these are ok.
I'll update this weekend as I have a job to do.

Thank you, Lino.

Without your advice on the confirmation from DJI in relation to the authenticity of the email and the 2 "internal firmware" files, I might still be hesitating to upgrade the firmware.

It appeared to me you had edited your post several times, didn't you? Were you asked to do so?

Nevertheless, I hope we all will soon receive the official firmware release from DJI. A lot of folks here need it.

Henry
thank you for reporting back your findings   It is good to hear they have worked correctly on your Inspire 1 with both cameras. I wonder how long it is going to take before they release the FW as I have downgraded mine even though it was not acting up. I have noticed during filming this week the inspire would sink several feet by itself and I held up-stick to keep it in one place.   It has never done that before

Hi Rich,

The FW upgrade processing from FW v1.09.01.10 to the DJI's supplied "internal firmware" only took less than 5 minutes, and in fact only device [17 00] was upgraded. I have no idea on which device in the Inspire 1 this device [17 00] is, but my observations in this morning's tests after the upgrade were that the Inspire 1 Pro held altitude quite well - rock solid as before.

I remember in FW v1.08.01.00 my Inspire 1 Pro did change altitude sometimes, and I thought it was due to windy condition. Please see my case in this post. inspire rising or lowering when landning gear changed

Thanks Hennry. I had done an imu calibration on mine, compass calibration, stick calibration and also pre flight check of all values after the update (standard procedure I follow according to my certification manuals), and it still did it, was intermittent and once I rebooted, it went back to normal. First issues I've had with the inspire. I've now rolled back the firmware. My inspire is an Inspire 1 RAW as well.

I'm really after the revised firmware now as in back on 1.8. The bug is definitely there, however is intermittent so maybe hard to replicate

My gear were up and locked. I was filming a fir tree being cut down So I had the Inspire parked while the tree was being removed piece by piece. It was very obvious when I was about10 feet from the ground. I needed to hold up on the stick to keep my position. Never had this happen before... I feel if I had not given more up stick the Inspire would sink to the ground.

I was not having any trouble at the river two weeks ago and have a slow-mo showing my Inspire locked in a hover over the water with VPS turned on.

So After the 1.9 firmware upgrade, all was ok, had a warning about sensor, and it rose once, but landed ok. I changed battery, it shot the job ok.

Until this morning. Weather has been shocking. Great day today, so got up early, check the craft software etc. Checked the IMU and did a stick calibration.
At site, usual preflight procedures, performed Compass calibration, checked & formatted sd card etc. Started motors, set home point, finished camera checks, then took of manually to about 2m. let go of sticks, and it still drifted up, landing gear stayed in down position. Touched the down stick to stop the drift, and the craft started to descend, let go of stick, and it still drifted down slowly. It then shot up, by its self, fast. I pulled the down stick to stop the ascent. In then went down fast. I steadied it at about 1.5 to 2 m, and set about landing. All though this the landing gear it down, and i have issued no command to raise it.
About 0.5m from landing, the landing gear then raised by itself, then landed on the X5 camera, even though I had stopped pulling the stick.
I killed the motors, and went to take a picture (attached)
As I started to take the picture, the land gear then started to lower, again by itself, with no command from the transmitter.
What is going on? Have commercial jobs this week, and cant trust the Inspire 1 Pro in this state.
I have tried to down grade the firmware to V1.8, as people have suggested, but now the craft will not accept any firmware files, and leaves no text reports when you try.
Im stuck, can anyone help?
I attached footage from the inspire, The flight record from app & picturehttps://www.dropbox.com/sh/ya5ez ... hnxzlWMXKrZR4a?dl=0

Hi db050800,
What happens when you downgrade (or attempt to) and how are you doing it?  Normally, all you have to do is put the .BIN on your SD card and let it install.  If there's more on your SD card, make sure you remove everything but the .BIN file.

Dear Db050800,

Thanks for the thick grass, you were very lucky not resulting with a damaged I1 Pro!

Did you manage to have the corresponding bin file when you tried to downgrade? It should be the WM610_FC550_FW_V1.08.01.00.bin file, not the WM610_FW_V1.08.01.00.bin file.

Hi Henry,

So now I upgraded back to 1.9.10 FW and recal'd everything again. Just flew a 12min flight and everything tested out fine. Tomorrow we are flying again (not sure where yet)  I looked at the text file shown below and I see the (17) is one of the files you said DJI changed.... Can you send me a link to the internal FW file... I think I would like to try it for the Inspire 1 V2 X3 version. DJI PM is not working right now. I am puzzled on what to do at this point....  I am worried that something is buggy but I do not know what the cause is. I will send the dat file to DJI if they would like it....  DJI ?? let me know.

hidden log RED is the downgrade to 1.8 and blue is the upgrade 1.9

Yes, hope we can get the new FW link. My Inspire is grounded because of this and I want to fly now on the holiday. Glad though that the internal firmware seems to fix the issues!
