A poster previously posted his RF output level measurements which he believed showed that the P3A/P transmitter levels had been significantly reduced after a firmware update. Initially, I wasn't convinced but I am now. A DJI support representative has confirmed that the level has been reduced on the Standard, even though the website still has  the original power level in the specifications. I have no doubt whatsoever that the same process applied to the P3A/P.

I also have a range drop on the latest firmware. Tested yersterday.

Same here in South Africa in CE mode with p3s. Really tired to get dji to sort this firmware. Flew the day before 1.6.80 upgrade on 1.5.70 and no problems got 800m without windsurfer and 1.1km with windsurfer. Flew when upgraded to 1.6.80 next day and immediately range problems 300m or less with fpv drops. 2 months battle since 24 May 2016 with dji and resolution is to send drone back to dji. Nearest service centre on another continent and bought the drone in Apr 2016 and sending back costs more than half of the drone price. One of my friends p3s same problem dji also just saying same stuff over and over and I cannot pay half of a p3s price for return when dji clearly messed up the fw. This is common logic...working fine 1.5.70--upgrade---sh1tty drone fpv losses / short range within 24 hours from previous good flight on 1.5.70. Dji can check my flight logs. Also tried downgrade..same problems since problems seem to be on rc which is not downgraded.

Issues already on 20/30m RTH keeps activating making it impossible , dji told me they unable to assist as we outside from where there repair centers are , from south Africa , so now no support , a p2 now is a way better option than a p3 , all we ask for is a fix nothing more nothing less , for us to ship the device to dji the costs there and back will be of a new p3s so I ask you , you pay for a device over $500 and dji messes it up now I ha e to pay for shipping to them ? Might as well get a new one , dji just release a firmware fixing the problems encountered in this post all we ask.
