- All seems updated, then I put TB48's on my I1 and on the RC it shows that I requires to also upgrade 2 of my TB48, while the other 8 of my TB48 have no notification for upgrade. Anyone could kindly please assist me on how I could upgrade the TB48 as well? Should the RC do the upgrade for every TB I use?

- Pardon for bring-in other question into this discussion. I also have 2 other TB48's that asked me to do full cycle. I also have discharge those TB48 to 3% and then recharge it to 50% as per DJI's but still there is notification for full cycle.

Any assistance would be highly appreciated.

My upgrade went smooth as usual everything checks out on the bench and will be doing my pre flight and test flight later today.
the battery's were not upgraded this round on my x3 unit.

Hi Yulianus,

This is how the FW of batteries is upgraded:-

1) Copy the WM610_FC550_FW_V01.09.01.30.bin file into the root directry of a micro SD card previously formatted in the aircraft using DJI GO App,

2) Switch off the aircraft and RC, and insert the batteries you want to upgrade FW,
3) Insert the micro SD card with WM610_FC550_FW_V01.09.01.30.bin file into the aircraft,

4) With the RC remaining off, switch on the aircraft and let for the FW upgrade to begin (it will sound DDDD, DDDD, DDDD, ...),

5) If the FW upgrade is not successful (it will sound D---- continuously), retry from Step 1,

6) If the FW upgrade is finished sucessfully (it will sound Deee-DD-Deee-DD...), power off the aircraft and replace another batteries that need FW upgrade and repeat Step 4 until all batteries are done,

7) Remove the WM610_FC550_V01.09.01.30.bin file and the WM610_FC550_FW_RESULT_AB.txt file from the micro SD card and save them in your PC for future reference. Also make a copy of the hidden WM610_FC550_FW_LOG_AB.txt to your PC for future reference,


8) Switch on both the RC and the aircraft. With your iPad / tablet connected to internet, launch DJI GO App. Verify that you don't see the message of prompting you that FW upgrade is needed.


With regarding to calibrating the intelligent flight batteries, you need to discharge the batteries in your aircraft until it automatically switch off, and then recharge it continuously to 100%.

You'll find it interesting that my 1.9.1.10+ never changed to 1.9.1.30 when I was on the "internal firmware."  It was only after downgrading to 1.8.1.00 and then upgrading to 1.9.1.30 that it did in fact change to 1.9.1.30.

I've just upgraded to the latest firmware after holding fire on 1.9.1.00 and missing it out altogether. I haven't been able to fly my Inspire Pro since the upgrade but I have had problems with two new, identical Sandisk Extreme Pro 64 GB cards. The app says "No SD card" and therefore won't let me format them in the camera. I've formatted one on my Macbook as exFAT but it still won't recognise it. An old Extreme Plus card with data on it still works OK. This may not be firmware related so apologies if this is off topic. Any thoughts?

I have just had the same warning message and the first time I took the battery to 7% (3.72v per cell) this did not clear the message.
The second time I went to 5% about (3.69v per cell). and this still need not clear the message.
Last night I took the Inspire 1 down to 1% (3.61v per cell) and this did the trick. Now the warning message has cleared and the battery is charged back to 100%

I do not believe this is related to the FW update and your batteries need to be recalibrated.

Hi. Yes that's what I tried first but I didn't work because it was not detecting the card. It also hasn't detected either card since I formatted them in a Macbook and then a PC.

I always check a second battery to see if the FW included a battery upgrade too, this time I didn't see any battery lights flickering during the fw upgrade and same with a second battery so this tells me there was no upgrade to the battery this time. Flown tested and no problems.I too had to take a battery or two down to 2% and recharge before it would clear that message.

Yes, agree with you this was not a battery update on the last couple of FW updates.  It just needs to be drained down low enough for the intelligent battery circuit to reset!
one of my batteries was at 19 charge cycles  (even though I only used the first 10 to 50% like Ken was suggesting)

notice in the photo total mAH is only 4244 instead of 4500 total after calibration

I also have tried to discharged those 2 TB48's to 0% and then keep it for a while (6 hours or so) after it has completely discharged. Then I do the recharged it to +/- 65%. And then keep the TB48's in storage for couples of days but still no luck. I still got the message on my Tx. Perhaps, need more luck on this problem.

And Yes I agree with you, that it probably has nothing to do with recent FW update since I got the problem since the 1.8 version of FW.

So is the latest version safe? I own an inspire one v1 model B with x3 camera, bellow are my FW versions Note I have not had any issues yet one flight, understand I don't want any surprises.

I've upgraded to 1.9.1.30 and have had no issues. This new firmware fixes the VPS issue some people have had, so I would recommend an update.

I have recently got an Inspire 1 and am now trying to update the firmware to the latest one from the factory set firmware. - Inspire 1 Firmware v1.9.1.30 which gives me WM610_FW_V01.09.01.30.bin

It gives me a fail every time. and I've tried all available versions. also tried formatting the card using the DJI App and also formatting in the mac. formatting in ExFAT and MS-DOS (FAT)

nothing seems to work, I've contacted the Live help and they were unable to help just telling me to take it back!

surely it can't be a dud one?

any ideas what I'm doing wrong ?

1. Enable the option of viewing hidden files in your OS. Below are the websites where you can check how to show the hidden files in your PC.
For The Windows System:

I have a battery that i have charged 91 times...still shows 4800mah ! it is a 48.. no battery update in this firmware. The way i discharge is by running the battery down by hovering 6inches above grass untill it stops and falls at 0%. All the cells at that point show less than 3 volts! sometimes the 0% lasts two minutes !

Guys thinking on getting an X5 Camera not R version. I have a D verision Inspire 1 witih the new firmware in it. Does this verision work with the X5 or do you have to download the pro software and update. Would like to use the X3 and the X5 cameras on the same machine .

I'm struggling to update the Aircraft FW on my Inspire 1 Pro to the newest v1.9.30 on my and I've tried everything - 2 different SD cards, formatted and unformatted by the craft, re-downloading the .zip file from DJI, RC off and on. Current versions on my equipment:

App : 2.8.2
Version: 1.8.1.00
Camera: 1.8.01.00
Remote Controller: 1.6.0

It has updated several times in the past successfully. In this case the Camera/Aircraft doesn't do anything - it doesn't seem to recognize the .bin file at all and just sits there ready to fly. When I power on the RC it says I need to update both the Aircraft and Camera.

Any thoughts?

Hi Hazen,

Did you download the correct FW file corresponding to your system? Inspire 1 Pro needs the WM610_FC550_FW_V01.09.01.30.bin file in the microSD card for the FW upgrade to start. Inspire 1 Pro FW upgrade won't start with other FW bin file for Inspire 1 or Inspire 1 Raw in the microSD card.

Were you using a Mac for downloading and unzipping the FW? Although I use a Mac, I had never encountered any issue at all. But somebody experienced issue using a Mac. In case you were using a Mac, please see if using a PC can solve your problem.

Quick question.... since going to 1.9, the adaptive landing gear has changed.  When I take off, the gear go up on their own, as usual.  Then when I get close to the ground the come down on their own.  But at that point, if I climb again, the gear stay down, and I have to manually raise them.

They used to go up and down according to altitude automatically, no matter how many times I came close to the ground and then climbed.

Not a big deal, just wondering if anyone else noticed the same thing.

Help!!!!!!  Received my new inspire on Monday.  Guess what.  Dead battery with no luck reviving.  So i was waiting for my additional batteries that i ordered to come and they did yesterday so am using those to get my drone going. This is my problem.  My firmware update failed on the first go around and now after less than a minute it continuously fails.  Chatted with DJI and they had me try a couple setting changes and then said it may be a hardware issue. Send it in.  After a little more "chatting" they sent me a link to a firmware downgrade that is not on their page to use.  Guess what failure again.  My issue is my camera wont work. No connection it says.  Reading the forum i dont see where there is much talk of never getting the firmware to work.  Can anyone help me please??

Hi all, we have 2 inspire 1's that we use for work, nearly 400 flights in 15 months. We upgraded both last week. One has been fine but the other gave us a compass error and the drone drifted badly and we nearly lost it like a fly away. We just downgraded the software and the drone is now fine. So frustrating. How can 2 identical drones be different?

Sorry for your issue. I'd suggest you to sync your flight record and download the flight data （DAT files）from the drone. Then send the data files to support.us@dji.com for data analysis.

Sorry for that. Please send it in because there is something wrong with the image transmission module, which leads to no live feed issues.

What is the process for this as i listed in my first post i also had a bad battery and have yet to hear back from DJI with my shipping label and that was on tuesday already.
