Now I am confused, I am reading some posts that mention the batteries need upgrading, how do you do this?

I was under the impression that if you do the update when prompted, it sorts out all the updates on the RC, the Mavic as well as on the batteries.

Hello

I updated from the latest version before (from end of december) via dji assistant.

Afterwards plugging in all my batteries and connecting the app to check if battery update is needed.

but this time no update gets displayed.

so i guess there is none with this firmware compared to the one before?

The Update resets some Settings:
EXP, settings are back to 0.25 for all three (I like 0.20 for me)
Camera goes to "JPG-Only" where I had "JPG+DNG"
I had the feeling that decent is faster in GPS-Mode than before
I had to calibrate the sticks also.

Hello

I updated from the latest version before (from end of december) via dji assistant.

in my case there was a popup after restarting the mavic, the RC and the app "firmware inconsistant" and an option to upgrade. This appears for each battery once. The Update that takes only a few seconds and than it's done.

While hooked up to DJI assistant after upgrading firmware replace each battery and click refresh, it only takes a few minutes for each battery.

Updated the firmware this morning. Was completed in about 15 minutes. No message to repeat from either of my 2 batteries.
Had 2 lengthy flights later today without any issues.

I attempted to upgrade but the upgrade process became stuck at 67% (for about 10min to 15min).  Turned everything off and back on again.  Second time it worked.  One possibility, during the first attempt I forgot to remove the ND filter from the Mavic.  The filter was removed and attempted the process again.  Using latest versions of iOS and RC.

Just my $0.02 worth.  YMMV.

Did you upgrade via Go 4 app or Assistant 2?

Do these firmware updates still wipe out all your settings in the go app? I get so annoyed with having to reset up everything again.

Thanks for the info. I also noticed that it resets (turns off) the flight change mode (may have the terminology wrong), which allows going from Normal to Sport mode during flight.

PS:  Just updated the FW and flew a couple of batteries.  No issues.

Do not update, constantly disconnects from the drone. The app doesn't crash, it simply disconnects. I was 1000 feet away, thankful return to home worked. Beyond frustrated with my mavic pro thus far.

A real critical update is to make the Mavic CSC the same as the Phantom 4 (pull the left stick to the bottom inside corner while simultaneously pressing the RTH button).  DJI should do this as a priority.  In the case of the Mavic it would be to pull the RIGHT stick to the bottom inside corner because the RTH button is on the left side of the remote.

I had an issue with this upgrade and many previous ones, using DJI Assistant 2. I upgrade successfully, but then when I connect to app and RC I am given the update notification again and have to repeat the process from the DJI Go4 app.  Note that this is not an update of the RC, but of the Mavic and the time is about the same - 20 minutes or so to download and update Mavic.
My question is, why is DJI Go4 (latest Android version) no recognizing the firmware update done with DJI Assistant 2?

I recently received my Mavic Pro and it had the v01.03.0300 firmware installed. I tried to upgrade to v01.03.0400 through DJI Assistant 2. It looks like everything is going smoothly, and the screen says I'm upgrading to v.01.03.0400. After 100% is reached, the screen tells me I've successfully installed v01.03.0300!  It then tells me that I need to upgrade to v01.03.0400 and prompts me to upgrade. I've tried this three times, each time shutting everything down and restarting, but I get the same result. Am I doing something wrong? Each attempt to upgrade, after what appears to be a successful upgrade, it shows my current version is still v01.03.0300.

I've never had luck upgrading the firmware.  I am on 1.3.000 and can go no further.  I was happy to see today's update, thinking that maybe the 200 update was my problem.  Same issue with this version.  However, I have seen that i may need to do a complete format of my SD card and install a bin file?  I emailed DJI to see if I can get this file.

D-Log now looks really, really good.  The dynamic range has DEFINITELY been increased, as advertised!  I couldn't believe how "far" I was able to push some of the sliders in post with today's footage on firmware .0400.

If I can, I will go back to the 200 firmware as a few problems with 400 that I don't like. Just seems inconsistent. After doing the upgrade to both Mavic and controller and then checking everything including all batteries, everything seemed fine. Flew today and and tried the RTH and although it was facing toward the sun, the sun was higher than the camera but it still went crazy, up, backward, heavy braking. Flew home manually. Found in the Healthydrones logs that during the crazy RTH it lost the data link 3 times. I am not surprised with the way it was flying.
Next flight when app opened said it needed firmware update which was quick and probably the battery. Next flight when app opened, needed firmware update and this time the controller disconnected a couple of times during the update. I now feel nervous flying on this firmware. Not sure what has been done but the sensors are just not working correctly.

What are your picture settings? (Sharpness,Contrast,Saturation)
And are you over-exposing at all?

Thanks for any help

Hello
I received my Mavic 1 week ago in version 1.03.0300 and I tried to update 1.03.0400 but it was a nightmare.
1rt I did the update under Dji GO 4 Android. All was fine but stopped at 73%. Then, impossible to go further, even rebooting all !
I tried many time Dji Assistant 2. Error after 55%.
I was able to downgrade in 1.03.0200 (Mavic & RC). Than I tried again update with 1 hour with Tchat Dji support... no way.
This morning, I tried again under Dji assistant : no way
Then tried again under Android ! Error, then impossible to connect to Mavic (only the RC) , but I relaunch the update and it worked !!!! Now both are 1.03.0400 !
I will check tonight with Dji Assistant for batteries

... a nightmare evening !!!! Nice st-valentin

Tried to update to the 400 firmware 2 times with GO 4 on android. Could upload the firmware, but could not complete the updating.
The Mavic restarted itself 3 times during each update attempt, and on the 3rd time (every attempt its the same), the updating stopped at 73% and it says "UPDATING FAIL"
Try plugging the RC into my PC with Assistant2, my PC could detect both the RC and Mavic. Hence i'm kinda stuck with GO 4 updating.

Gonna try again a IOS to see if it works. So Frustrating!

I installed this new firmware update and promptly had a crash.  After completing the update and being ready to fly, I powered the rotors on - and then things started going immediately wrong.

The drone actually lifted off the ground without my command and then wouldn't respond to any controller inputs.  The Mavic immediately starting drifting to the right at a height of about 3 feet and then continued drifting uncontrollably until it cracked into a nearby obstacle and disintegrated all of its rotors.  I've never had an experience like this with the Mavic, so wondering if it has to do with the new firmware!

It's recommended that after a firmware update you recalibrate the 3 key sensors/controls

1) IMU
2) Remote
3) Compass

Always done this and never had an issue
