Holy cow people are going to be waiting a LONG time for Mavics that have been ordering in the past week or two.

Well for everyone wondering, I ordered from newegg Oct 1st. Was charged on the 21st and received a tracking number, stating my order has shipped. My tracking number now says invalid on newegg website, when yesterday it showed "packaging." It still isn't showing up on FedEx website either. I ordered on October 1st. I seen a guy that ordered on the 6th and his tracking number is active and says he will get it in the 26th. Everything in paypal shows completed as well, Nothing pending anymore. I contacted newegg, they cant figure out what happened and emailed dji. Why they did is beyond me, when it was active on their website on the 21st. Maybe it will update on Monday I'm hoping. The invoice still shows shipped, but my tracking number has no info, when yesterday it had status as packaging on newegg. I didn't receive any fraud action on my card either as others reported. I talked to a supervisor and they ensured me I would receive my order by this friday at the latest. We shall see.

I ordered from Best Buy with a delivery date of NOV 31......Now they are not taking any more pre-ord ...

I ordered from BestBuy Canada and they are still taking pre-orders and stating Nov 15th as shipment date as well as stating you can get it that date.

Don’t you worry about this.  Apple won’t do this kind of nasty thing like DJI did.  Most retailer shops are back order now until Dec.  If you expect walk in that is sometime before Xmas.

I had the same reason to order mine from eBay with an authorized DJI dealer.
I had $60 Best Buy reward certificates which I used to buy eBay GC and it was in time for eBay bucks which I had over $130, so I paid out of pocket $810.

Anyone any updates from
Apple today ?

Spoke to Jessops UK this morning.

Expecting first batch in November, DJI havent said when.

They are disappointed, the waiting list is huge even for resellers.


Frustrating but what can you do eh. It'll be mid winter by the time it comes

I ordered from BestBuy Canada on October 2nd. Currently says "arrives as early as October 31, release date November 15." Possibly the release date is when they expect them to be on store shelves... Either way I will patiently wait.

Heliguy are stating 1st November

I ordered on Amazon from a german Reseller, my Order date was the 17th Oct and it says i'll get it between 2nd to 9th of November.

Drone World is still saying around the 1st for their shipment of first orders.   One thing is clear:  they don't know for certain and DJI is giving them about as much information as they have given out to direct orders so far (meaning next to zero).  

I emailed Heliguy. They said any new orders made now wont ship until December.

I ordered form dronesdirect.co.uk on the 4 of OCT and I just had this message back from them today :  

Thank you for your emessage.
I can confirm we are expecting stock of this item on the 02/11/2016 and after this date you will receive contact from the couriers in relation to the delivery.

This was for the fly more package, hoping this is right as I should get it on the 3-4 NOV

I have a pre-order on Amazon, but Best Buy just let me preorder as well while claiming delivery by October 31st.  I will cancel whichever doesn't ship first, I will be shocked if the Best Buy delivery date is accurate.

I received the following yesterday after inquiring about the shipment status after DJI made their latest announcement.

"Good morning Jesse -

On Friday DJI released an extremely limited number of Mavic units for shipment to Advexure and all sales channels. With this extremely limited number that will initially be arriving in we will only be able to fulfill pre-orders that were placed between launch day and October 4th. We are expecting a lot more information on specific numbers from DJI HQ late tonight (early Monday AM in HK) as well as tomorrow night. As soon as we have additional information we will release another official update to all pre-order customers.

Thank you for your patience and understanding and please be assured that we are doing everything in our control to keep things moving as quickly as possible.

Amazon just changed the listed date from Nov 15th to Dec 1st.

I have a pre-order with Best Buy (USA) placed on Sept 29th, with "Get it by Sun, Oct 30" which was recently changed from Oct 31st. I believe this is because I live in an area that gets deliveries on Sundays, not sure though.

My Apple order still says processing but still states November shipping. I am done asking Apple chat if they know when they will receive their stock,they know as much as DJI chat personal... I sure wish there was another drone on the market that compared to the Mavic,I would be done with this BS. Well at least Apple hasn't taken my money like DJI did and left me in the dark... I will just sit back and wait a little more... Frustrating!!!

I wonder if it's worth ordering from Best Buy and cancelling whichever one doesn't ship?    Or is Best Buy just not keeping their status up to date?

Does Best Buy charge above and beyond $999 with taxes?    How easy is it to return or cancel something from Best Buy?   Do they charge your card when you order it?

Found an answer for one of my questions:    Does Best Buy charge above and beyond $999 with taxes?    Answer:  Yes.   You will be in for about 80-100 extra to cover taxes.

Latest ive heard from Jessops UK was 'Early November' for first batch of 60 Drones / 80 Fly More K ...

i ordered from jessops uk on Oct 2nd and was originally told mid October, we all know that date passed and DJI only started shipping on the 21st Oct, I spoke with jessops again yesterday and was told first batches will arrive on the 31st Oct which is a Monday i think and will start shipping to customers the next day so expect the first deliveries to arrive on wed 2nd Nov

This is my info i hope i do get it the day it states. Also this is my first time ordering from Amazon instead of b&h since i live in nyc and the tax was ridiculous. I hope I'm ordering from a good seller?? Anyone have any experience with who i ordered from? It was the only one offering prime at the time i preordered

I did exactly what you are describing and put the cost on my Best Buy credit card.  I am yet to be charged, I assume I will be when my drone ships, and I bet it is a lot easier to cancel/return something to a physical best buy store than it is to mail it into DJI and wait for a replacement.

I actually just placed an order, about 5 minutes ago through Best Buy for the heck of it, and got delivery date of October 30th. Seem's like we're getting delivery dates all over the place.
Cancelled DJI direct order. Now I have 3 from different places. Amazon, Best Buy and Adorama.

Do I want to pay an extra (taxes) 90 bucks or so to get it early?    How much earlier will it be?    I wish I knew.  If it's a month earlier I would do it.   If it's a week earlier I wouldn't.    There's no way of knowing.

just submitted my order through best buy and was charged right away. And yes, its much easier to deal with American Retail stores.

if there are a best buy in your state, then they have to charge tax. no way around it and its regular tax, nothing extra about it.

Oh I know.   I'm just trying to decide if I want to pay it or not.

Id go thru best buy myself but they dont offer the combo which comes with 3 batteries which is a great deal. That's why i went thru Amazon, also to avoid the shipping and tax.

Gulp.    Well I now have two preorders.   One is through Amazon from Drone World.   The other is Best Buy saying I'll get it Monday.    I'll watch them both like a hawk and cancel the one that doesn't ship first.  

Honestly if you somehow wind up with 2 Mavics....they are going for 1500-2000 on Ebay.  

Best Buy still says shipping Oct. 31 for pre-orders right now, how is that possible with all these other places going into November, are they expecting that many?

I ordered mine from B&H on the 30th, hoping that'll beat Best Buys date.

Yes they really are.   I fully expect Best Buy to change their ship by date soon when they realize they aren't going to get theirs.   There is NO WAY we are ordering on the 24th and getting it on the 31st.

I've called a couple Best Buys around here and they seemed pretty confident they'd have it by the 30th. One guy even said they might get it in sooner with "multiple truck shipments coming in this week."

I'm crossing my fingers.
