I ordered through Apple online store knowing that shipping will be only within November but of course, as it was initially said that it will be available in Apple stores as of November 2nd, I was hoping to get it perhaps at the same time. Where did you get the info that DJI confirmed that Apple won't be receiving stock before mid of November?

Where did you ever see that Apple will have them for sale November 2? I've seen a lot of people on the forums stating that, but haven't seen anything that actually verifies it.

So let me get this right. Customers that ordered the combo have to wait while those that paid a lower price get it first? Seems like backwards thinking. DJI continues to piss of the masses. When GOPRO catches up I won't even think about buying anything from DJI

Ordered combo on 10/20/16, no notice yet of shipping and not yet shipped per account check.  Delays can occur, understandable.  Poor communication from company, bad.  Charging purchaser's card before it is actually ready to ship, inexcusable.

I called my local Apple store to see if I could some stock info and they just kept trying to push the Phantom 4.

GoPro has no chance of catching up.  I'm blown away they are still in business.  Also, DJI would have to stop research and development for at least 2-3 years before anyone gets near them in quality and control.  This is why we wait .

I've noticed that too.   I have an Amazon/Drone World preorder that is stating that they get theirs IN to ship in early November.    I'm looking at Best Buy and they are saying 'get it by Oct 31'.   

I wonder if it's worth ordering from Best Buy and cancelling whichever one doesn't ship?    Or is Best Buy just not keeping their status up to date?

Does Best Buy charge above and beyond $999 with taxes?    How easy is it to return or cancel something from Best Buy?   Do they charge your card when you order it?

DJI = Drone Enthusiasts !!  GoPro = Pretty Much rest of the world !!! They have bigger customer base than DJI !!! .. Lets get that straight folks .. Sure there is Garmin Vue and Sony Action Cams but Nothing comes close to GoPro Yet !! Oh dont forget their marketing ..

Exactly.   GoPro owns the action camera market and has far more customers than DJI.   No chance they are going out of business.   They make damn nice cameras too.

I was told in chat today to check back next friday for a better idea... I'm sick of waiting now

Having owned several DJI products (Phantoms and an Inspire) and having used their support, I’m not surprised by this exceptional customer experience. For the record the launch said 10-15, I guess I assumed of 2016 and figured I would have it prior to 11-8 when I leave for vacation and was hoping to use it.

You clearly have not owned their stock over the last year!  They are on the verge of collapse and the Karma was expected to correct that.  They actually have very few customers, which is what their main issue is right now.  This was all discussed on the quarterly call a few weeks back.

Surely a conundrum...do I wait for the combo, or order the non-combo from best buy. It is already an additional $80 for tax, if you buy 2 more batteries later on, then it is basically the same price as the combo after tax, and you don't have the bag, car charger and charger hub.

I am on the fence...its already been almost a month, maybe it's ok to wait another week or so.

I'm not saying he is involved in shipping. He is in charge of communications. If he was doing his job he'd at least be giving us regular updates, estimated shipping dates, explaining why the first come first served promise isn't being adhered to etc.
