Yes, in full agreement with you on that one. Actually I doubt I will ever need 3 batteries, 2 is sufficient for me. Can probably pick up a nice bag on Amazon for under $50 too. DC/AC converter would cover the car charging issue as well.

If the demand is as crazy as DJI says it is, pre-orders coming in a month behind probably can't expect more.

The problem is people who ordered hours or days after the announcement.

Garmin Virb Ultra 30. Better than the Hero 5. GoPro did it first, they're the brand name, they are still king for now because of that. Purely tech-wise, they're not on top any longer.

So I just called the USA tech support to DJI and asked for his manager. His manager was able to look up my order (I also bought the combo) and he said my combo and all other combos will ship on November 4th.

So as at time of writing, there's 123 on omniblast's spreadsheet plus perhanse above.

This forum seems to cover the Americas, Oceana, Europe and perhaps Africa? So there will also be orders from Russia plus Middle East and Asia.

I wonder how many "personal" orders there are in total? If 10% of people who placed orders have posted their info, then we are looking at around 1000 for this forum. I do not imagine it is 100,000s as some have suggested. Of course there are 3rd party dealers with large orders too but I cling to the hope that DJI will at least look after us lot first!?

Most of the coverage is over in North America, some in Europe/UK mostly, none in Russia/Africa/Middle East. Maybe they don't want to post on the forums, I don't know.
Also, not sure what to do with Zandian, not sure how he placed an order in the future. 10/27/16. I don't question time travel, but I would think it's better to go to early morning 9/27/16 to place an order.

Hehe - Zandian must have meant 27/9 surely? Unless he travelled back from March 2017 where people are STILL waiting for their Mavics and simply got the date wrong...

Another observation - you can tell this is a DJI forum as there are more negative emoticons than happy ones!

Just ordered from Best Buy. So now I just got double counted in their demand numbers. Great way to run your business.

Yeah I just ordered right now! The only bummer is the battery situation. I'd like to have multiple batteries, but I guess I can survive with only one for right now. Who knows... If the combo package ever ships then I would have 4 batteries and 2 drones! (way overkill, but would be fun)

As a side note, bestbuy just charged my card so it would seem that they have it in stock and will be shipping soon. Also, it says that I will receive it by Oct 31.

I double booked. I still have my order with Amazon. But I also booked an order with Best Buy and they claim it will ship tomorrow. I will let you guys know if that's actually true.

What happens if they ship it right as a leave for vacation will DHL hold the package for me for 2 weeks until I get back from vacation?

Details:
My Problem is I ordered this for a vacation that I am leaving for on Nov 8th. I figured DJI would be 1-2 weeks late shipping. But if they shipped it last week of October or early first week of November I would get it. Dont think that is happening now...
