replace the camera that will fix it 80% of the time

For those who had this encoder error on their Mavic Pro fixed by DJI, it would be really helpful if you could confirm if the issue was completely solved, what the repair involved and what the cost of the repair was? I'm trying to decide if it's worth it for me to fix my old drone while I perhaps wait for a new Air 3 or Mini 4 release. Mine still flies fine as it's never been crashed though I've had to give up any real hope of camera functionality and live screen display.
