I think it would be good to update this thread regularly. As far as I can see on CAAT website, these regulations still apply in the same way, and all drones with a camera installed have to be registered. I will try this in the next days and see what happens.

Any new experiences with registering with NBTC? Do you have to do it in person or can you do this via e-mail?

No idea to be honest.

The main trouble I see is that where I may want to fly, islands, National Parks etc you are not permitted to fly anyway, licence or not. So I am just wondering what the use is really... After all TIT

True. A friendly ask to a local (even police) goes a long way. Plus, when you do it well you fly somewhere where you don't disturb others anyway. TIT
