Ok figured out how to do the screen shot.

Ok i happen to have a second s2 tablet with DJI GO loaded on it. Maps work fine on it so it looks like my problem is tablet related  (both tablets are identical). I guess I need to play around with the one that doesn't work and figure out the problem

Street maps do not have 'clouds'.

Nothing new happens. The background takes on a slightly different shade but the map is still blank.

Are you connected to the internet?  Zoom in or out.

assuming "here" maps has such a function!

I switched between all three modes after I was forced to 'upgrade'.  It worked and had all modes for me.

yea,
when I read him say "street view"
my mind heard --street view birds eye"

the 3 overlays are there for me as well,
I am unsure but it seems like they may have updated the map for my local to a higher res than original.

With the most recent updates: DJI GO has switched from Google Maps to HERE Maps for Android users. Apple users are still enjoying the good ol' Apple Maps.

That said, if HERE maps isn't working for you, there is a very simple solution. You can simply and EASILY switch to using an Apple device. iPad Mini 4 costs only about $500. If you can afford a Phantom then iPad mini shouldn't be a problem for you.

My solution was to spend $25 on Litchi. it is a far superior flight app in every other way too.

Not sure how to take a screen shot from the app on my tablet. I guess I could take photo with my camera. I'll need to get my phantom 3 fired up so I can go into camera mode

Download Mobizen screen recorder and you can do it that way. or Hold down the Power and bottom center buttons on your tablet and that will take a pic of your screen.
