Should you put the gimbal clamp on every time after flying of just the gimbal dome cover.

Every time when you bag it up/transport. Or you will be asking for trouble while transporting the drone.

Every time IMO.  It will help keep the gimbal intact.  

I have both my Gimbal clamp and cover put back after every flying session.
