I see a lot of folks that are baffled by the flight restrictions.

I followed all procedures when upgrading and was well aware of the limitations if this was done incorrectly.

All went well on updating the quad, and the remote and battery updates.  Logged in and everything seems to work.   ONLY 20% OF THE TIME.

I never know when it's going to happen but I am constantly getting the restrictions. I can usually do a number of workarounds and manage to get going but I have to fly up to see if it's working then fly back down to restart. Wastes battery and time and there have been a couple of Pay gigs and prospects where I have been embarrassed.

Any one else get this in a random manner?

yep me.
everytime i start. but i would rather shoot me in my own leg than make ANY more update from DJI. every freakin time i finally steer in and made an update it ends up in a disaster and my drone was more time on the ground than ever. i also waste battery each time i fly. sometimes it helps. sometimes i cant fly until battery is down to 70%.
dont hope to get help from DJI here. what you will see is: "sorry that you have such unpleasant experience, did you try turn it off and on again, please make all updates again (for the 2783th time) and send your drone on your own cost for repair, it will only need some weeks"

i made the updates. over and over again. restet everything. let the DJI store near me do everything again. blablablaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! welcome to your own little DJI nightmare. i hope you can solve it. and if you do, let us know how.

done. thats why i say i can live with the fact that i cant start sometimes with that bug. everything else is fine now. and i will never connect that build in wifi anymore. no more updates. no more forced grounded drone.

Just to verify, had you tried to restart the drone or relaunch the app after you got the limitation? If it is random, we would recommend testing by this way at present.

Me too. Brand new Phantom 4 owner....Started it up, out of the box, wouldn't go anywhere because "upgrades had to be done". Did them....worst mistake of my life. My drone can now fly exactly 274m from me....before aircraft disconnects. And no, I don't live near an airport, security point, masses of people, etc. I have tested my drone in suburbs, and out in the sticks....Upgrade "broke" my drone, before I could enjoy it.

Yes. That's the only way to keep going. Really sucks to do all the time

Really sorry for the inconvenience. Our engineers were aware of this case and working on it. The coming version app will get this thing fixed. Please wait patiently.

DJI GO 4.0 and later will ground your drone if it's not seen the internet for a couple of weeks. This is on 1.02.602 FW, not the DroneBreaker 2.00.106 FW.

i got the P4A+ so i cant change or update the GO app in any way. everything is locked. NICE!

ah ok i didnt know that before thanks,
yep. never again. learned from mistakes. for now i can fly with some bugs. but that also didnt changed for years with my P3A even i made all updates but it got worse and worse every time.
but at least i can fly now when i decide to do that.
if they go mad with NFZ here in china, there is no other choice but not update anymore. if situation get normal i will be more than happy to play after the rules.

Sadly it seems that the new update improved the titled horizon. If not for that fix I would think about updating.
