Hi Everyone...

My mavic was kept for 2-3 months without using. It was with firmware 01.03.0550. Yesterday I power it on and the RC controller asks for an update (01.03.0900).
Well, for the first try, I didn't see the entire procedure and how its end, just checked later and see the rc asking for a no fly zone update. I did Choose yes and the update stucked at 60%. 1h later, I restarted the rc and the mavic and realize that the DJI App asks again for an update (01.03.0900). Since that, I've tryed many times and always stucks at 74% and fails.

Can anyone help me?

I think the first thing you will want to try is to use the DJI Assistant 2 software, preferably from a PC rather than a mac, they seem to have the most success in stories here in the forum.  I had serious problems in the beginning (I think I started around 1.03.04 ish), had to get special help from one of the DJI moderators, and have used the Assistant software ever since without a problem.

i m from argentina, and i have the same problem, i try to update with Dji Assitant 2 but i was non lucky.

Which OS are you using? Make sure your Internet connection is fast enough.

I am using Android and I had multiple issues with the upgrade.  After several attempts, I deleted the original app from my phone and then downloaded the app as a fresh install.  It has worked since then.

Try upgrading it with DJI assistant 2 at most times the assistant 2 works better than the wireless upgrade.

What error code you've got when you failed to upgrade the drone?

Have you tried to re-upgrade the drone via the DJI Assistant 2? If yes, how is it going? Please post a screenshot of the error message if you failed to upgrade it in DJI Assistant 2.

Same happened to me yesterday stuck twice at 50%, a post on another forum said to simply format the SD card and sure enough after restarting the procedure it simply updated the firmware to both the Mavic and the controller

i tried with 2 OS, one WIN10 and other WIN7 64, all with Dji Assitand 2. but i was non lucky.

always stack at the 60%, i tried format the sd but, always the same, stack at 60%. im really tired, 3 days and i cant fly the mavic.

really i never fly it, because its new.

Hi everyone...

I've tried do the upgrade via DJI Assistant 2. Here's the result:

Connect mavic via usb cable, battery 100% and SD card formatted.

First, I got this message...

Hit yes...the update begins and stucks at 21%....then mavic restarts and the update goes to 70% and stucks again

then got the update fail message

While I try to update the error log, the screen refresh and shows

Last today's try...

battery 100%, SD card formated again...dji assistant 2 cache cleared..
Choose the latest firmware...01.03.0900....the update stucks at 57% and fails



My mavic's firmware is 01.03.0550...my RC 01.03.0900. Can I fly it even with this firmware mess??? Sincerelly, I almost give up with this firmware problem... I don't know what else to do =/

I never used the ASSIS2
Turn computer, start ASSIS2 under ADMIN credentials,
Then turn the plug the USB IN THE ac and then in the computer USB.
THEN TURN THE AC ON.
then click the icon and start the process.

When making large leaps in firmware versions you are at the Mercy of the developer who wrote the latest firmware. It is possible the 01.03.0900 wants to update some file that is not present with 0550, but was added by an update in between 0550 and 0900. And since the file is not present the installer stalls and hangs. Then times out with failure. This situation , if true in your case, is entirely the fault of the developer who was quite frankly, lazy with their code.

I recommend trying to update your firmware to a closer release to your current version. Doing this in steps will usually solve this issue.

BTW this type of problem is present among all applications/OSs/Firmware etc etc.

Hi everyone

I have exactly the same problem that "Edumalves" :

How I did..

1 - Connect mavic via USB in Computer.
2 - Open DJI Assistant 2 and log in with your account
3 - Turn on Mavic
4 - Go to firmware, choose 1.3.0811 and hit update
5 - after update completed, hit back in DJI Assistant 2
6 - Turn on Remote Controller attached to your Phone with DJI Go and connect to mavic (without disconnect mavic to computer)
7 - hit record button (red dot upper left in Remote controller) and make sure mavic is recording.
8 - In DJI Assistant 2 choose to update the last firmware (01.03.0900) and done.

I must have been lucky- I had my Mavic for only one day- the next I got the notice to down load-
I did using the mini4 and a good strong wifi signal- Bang- down load 100%- no issues-
