Yesterday I flew at a reservoir, over the dam, but could in plain sight not go any further as 850m.
First some video feed interuptions, in the end connections troubles.
So I thought, today I can try wifi- and USB-connection.
On top of the distance thing, I had a kind of a "bermuda triangle" about 20m away from where I started, the other way.
A life feed lag from 10-20 sec., still-pictures, black screen.
But the remote worked well.
Worth to check out!
I installed a screen recorder on my LG G4 and started direct in the trouble-corner.
Bad choice, somehow!
And unlucky, I could not connect the G4 via USB to the controller.
So it is the only screen recorder video!
I connected my OP5 via USB-OTG cable to the controller, and it worked.
Next step, distance flight:
It started good, half the way I tried to do a Panorama, but "denied"
I guess, to much wind?
Interesting here:
I had full controll , till the screen went white!
What is that, please?
I guess that the location, lots of concrete in the dam, is one reason for it.
The video feed at the Spark stopped also this time, even there it went from the lake to a white picture.
After a couple of seconds, I think, I stopped the capturing, the video came back on.
So I flew as far as I could, witch was this time limited to 1150 meters, but only because of batterie-RTH, not b/c of interruptions.
And had another white screen, on the phone and in the spark-video, just at landing!
And the "funny" story, in the log .dat is nothing to see.
Only the wind warning, the denial for the panorama and the RTH announcement, that I cancelt
I flew afterwards at a different location, where I found out, that this concrete seating set can tell your drone, to calibrate the compass!
Just by placing it on it!
And there I was happy, to have a home point set, b/c my drone lost the connection in total for quite some time.
But returned home, where I could take over the control again!
Also no white screen at this location. And I flew there as long, as at the dam
Have you disabled the Bluetooth on your LG G4? For the white screen issue, could you please upload the original videos from the SD card to the Dropbox, then provide us with the download link? We'd like to check what happened.
1.The bluetooth is always disabled, on that device.
I flew yesterday 3 batteries, 42 minutes all together, with the LG again.
Without any issues and wifi connected like for the first video with the live-feed trouble.
I am sure, the location, this corner of the dam, must be the reason for the bad life feed.
Some interferences in the wifi bands, reflections, whatever.
It did not affect the drone control, which is the important part.
And that the phone (dji go 4 app wifi connection) may need to reset (restart Phone), to get functional, after some issue like that.
I may try it again, in the next days. But at a weekend, it is to crowded for flighing 1 or 2m over the roads
2. I was actually starting to think that the "turning white" is a (hidden {NFZ}?) feature, preventing the drone from capturing anything, somehow.
Because I remember, to get a "flightpath is near NFZ" red warning.
Like I got yesterday, in a rubberplantation, too .
On a phone in flightmodus, being connected via wifi to the controller.
How does that happend? And no shown "no flight" zones in about 30 km around.
But back to the video, sry:
Watching the original video file again, it was "only" a 18sec. white.
And after that the video came on again, like as it was a exposure, overexposure, thing.
Or a camera (software) restart
To understand you right, you want the videofiles
In full lenght?
Or is it enough, to simple cut the minutes before the white screen of and get you the 30 sec. files in the original 1080p?
Now I am certain, it is a exposure problem.
Only that this time it did not disapear after a while.
Which gave me the chance to try it out, at a "far, far away" location and on the ground.
This is actually some red and green plant:
Mmmhh, the problem for the "white screen" may have been at the controller.
I checked at home, the cam mode was switched to manual.
With unuseful settings for bright daylight, high iso, normal shutter.
But I think, I have checked that even in the air, but I am not 100% sure about
Actually I would like that better as the other option, that this interference trouble may have caused and set it.
'Cause lesson learned!
Will see in the next days.
Anyway, is it known how the Spark may interfere with C-Band radar?
Because everywhere, where I had the video life-feed interuptions, the GPS on/not connected struggle
(today again, just before the white screen after changin from Lg/wifi to USB-OTG/OP5 ), till now, was in sight of a military radar.
I will hope, that this was/is the reason for the message.
I think, I have switched it back, alone for the adjustment to get in position.
But how is it with tripotmode?

I haven't tried in tripod mode, but it should work.

Nope, it did not work in tripod mode
"shooting mode have been changed to single shot"
And in the menue no panoramas to see
