Hello everyone,

I am going to be going to St Lucia over Thanksgiving, which is North of St. Vincent & the Grenadines, South of Dominica and N.W. of Barbados.  We are flying directly from Florida to St. Lucia and staying there at a resort.  I would LOVE to bring my Mavic Pro along, but did not know if it was allowed.  I contacted the resort and they said it was fine with them, but as far as the police or any other government is concerned, didn't know if I could.

Any help from any of you would be awesome.  Thanks.

Thank you.  Other then the 2 airports and the correctional facility, looks like I'm clear...but these do not tell me about the government restrictions.  All ways best way is to ask, and so I shall when I get down there.  Just don't want it taken away.

ya, probably some forum filter issue.  and always should ask someone then call back ask someone else.

i suggest not mentioning batteries or drone during check in on plane, likely get away with it in bag/backpack in carry on or if your other checked luggage.  and i wouldn't trust anyone in an airport to know the laws or rules for drones and lithium batteries, sad reality, there is a huge disconnect with FAA laws and changes and airport staff understanding them...

I don't know about the legal situation in St Lucia, but i travelled there in march 2016 form the UK with my phantom vision 2+.  I carried it as hand luggage with no problems, either flying in or out.  I did my google research at the time and did not find any issues then (March 2016)  I spent 10 days in Rodney Bay and had a fabulous time  Even crashed the phantom into the side of our hotels beachside restaurant with no problems.  Here's a link to the video  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxTVsDP6Qqu5dCqf1V1LxJw
