Firmware update required....argh.

At home an hour ago everything was fine
I get to where I'm going to fly and it says firmware update required. Of course that took forever over cellular. Then once I update it restart the bird the remote and the phone now suddenly half of my camera screen is pixels.
I tried going from video to camera to camera to video, doesn't matter.
I fly up in the air take pictures with it even though I can't see what the hell I'm doing.
Land it look in DJI folder no pictures although it says it took them.
So after the update, it's a boat anchor.
What the hell
