Was anyone thinking about making some sort of muffler for Osmo? We could make it and print in 3D printer. Or was DJI planning to make something like this?
Hello! Thanks for your advice!
However, the fan can be muted in the next firmware update, which is expected to eliminate the noise for our users.
In addition, I'm afraid the extra muffler may affect the normal functionality of the gimbal.

About that... I'm assuming that muting the fan implies reducing the RPMs or shutting down the fan. Either way, won't that put the camera in danger of overheating? I can't imagine that reducing airflow would be a good thing considering that a high-RPM fan was deemed necessary in the development of the OSMO. Will there be built-in failsafes?
Thanks for your concern!
Don't worry too much, our engineers will take some protective measures about your concern. The fan will be supposed to turn on again automatically once the temperature rise to a certain limitation even though you've muted the fan in the DJI GO App. I hope that would work perfectly.
For more information or update, please keep an eye one DJI public media.
It was mentioned here on the forum that fan will kick in once temperature rises to 30C , so I guess it won't shut down during summer at all or will kick in in a couple of minutes after start.

Hi, Sir or Madam,
I'm afraid you misunderstand me. The so called 'certain limitation' of the Max. temperature is not clear at present, I just took Inspire 1 as an example. So, don't get me wrong.
For the detail information, let's look forward to the next firmware update.
