Hi,
After last update (1.8.1) my camera (X5) hangs and I lost control during shooting when I use rec button on/off few times to get few clips instead a long one.
Solution: downgraded only AC to 1.4.0.7.
Now I'm testing, but don't know if it's safe to fly with mixed firmwares.

Your aircraft and rc have to be matched on firmware, either 1.7 AC & 1.5.7 RC, or 1.8 AC & 1.6 RC.

Can you explain more in detail by what you mean by the camera hangs?
And it is not going to work if you do not have the RC an aircraft on the same firmware.

It's mean camera not responding and no on-screen controls in Go App (see attached picture into first post)
Everything seemed to work properely on mixed firmwares, but I care about flying.
I just downgraded RC to 1.5.8. AC led fast flashing yellow(?) Go App status bar says Update Radio Firmware. If I try to start motors get message: Warning Remote Controller Firmware Inconsistent. Update in "Overall Status"

Do me a favor please, connect to the internet with your device and power everything up again.
If your aircraft still says 1.7 after a bit, download 1.8 from the correct DJI webpage for your aircraft and re-attempt a install. If you have issues, please post the hidden log file from the SD card.

Again updated all (AC, camera and RC) to last firmwares, tested at home - hanging camera issue gone. Tomorrow I'll test it during a flight, and will post a log.
BTW. about show/hide all files on Mac - found useful tool
