Sorry to here that, but glad you will be okay. Things can happen very quickly with powered flight aircraft models.
A few weeks ago, I had a helicopter spinning up on my patio. I let go of the throttle and looked down at my transmitter to adjust the rudder trim. I reckon the ESC has a soft start function as default, so the rotor speed will slowly spin up. The next thing I know the craft is in the air a few inches and drifting to me, and I was pinned between a chair and a wall, and got my shin nicked. I did not know a shin could bleed like that! Should have gotten a stitch or two, but it is healing well.
We have got to be careful. And you are correct, your safety and that of others comes first. Let it drop in a case like that. And don't take your eyes off of an aircraft that has spinning props or rotors. They bite. |
