I just wanted to share this with you all, because I kow how much the Inspire 1 cost. Also as an added note you have to but it with 30 days of your Inspire 1, and you can not make a claim until 30 days after you buy it. Just an FYI.. Also, it has to have a camera.

Squaretrade will not cover the inspire 1. I spent couple of hours on the phone with them about it.  They will cover other DJI but not the inspire.

No worries!!!!!!   I just saw your post but maybe they wont take it down so that others dont waste the time like I did..  

When I bought my Inspire this was an added option. Since it has the camera it really is just a glorified camcorder. So, I bought it. I need to call them and verify it will cover the whole bird and not just the camera.

I was finally told after hours of calling and talking to different people at Squaretrade that in no way no how would this be covered under their warrenty because I also bought mine off amazon and it popped up the Squaretrade Policy which I about bought when I ordered my Inspire.  Again I spent several hours on the phone with them and they would not cover it or any part of it.  If someone else gets through and they do please tell me I am about out of my 30 day buy time.

Please let me know what they say, I wish I had the guy I talked to, he was very good and had a lot of information.

But I think it is more about the camera, as for the most part, the other stuff are cheap to buy, but that Camera you are talking big bucks..

As of November 2014 they stop doing the drone, because they could not repair them. But if you do need to send your in, if you already have it, They will just pay you for what you paid for the drone. So, if you paid $1400, then they will pay you the $1400, and not cover the new one if you buy another one. I got this information from SquareTrade, by calling 877-927-7268.

I think the problem is, they would like to repair then, and maybe if DJI and SquareTrade got to together,work out something for everyone.

I am using my Inspire 1 for personal use only and I have insurance on my homeowners insurance policy. I pay $50 per year and it will cover any loss I may have and it has no deductible. Before you do anything talk to your homeowners insurance company.

A"Flying Camera Drone". Liberty Mutual is my insurance company but any good insurance company should cover it.
