Most likely I am going to get a Mavic  because it looks awesome! Especially I plan to do a corss-America road trip in January  (probably route  66, and then to East Coast. Advices are welcome!)
However, I have never had a drone before, and I wonder where I should buy Mavic from.
I've read that people are buying it from Dji official web, Best Buy, Apple store, and Amazon. So where are you buying from? and why?

I purchased it direct from DJI, the reason I did so is No TAX and No Shipping charge.  Especially living in Canada, the price is cheaper with the exchange vs paying the base price.

I will buy on eBay from a DJI authorized seller. The reason, I have eBay bucks and gift cards to spend.

Direct from DJI as Duties are already paid for Canadians !!! added bonus !!!

My credit card was charged 1350 anyway...I called the credit card company and they said that all banks charge a 2.5% foreign currency exchange fee. So really there is no advantage over a domestic seller except that we may get it faster because of dhl shipping, and we are also getting it straight from the source.

Really? Because when I bought my P4 using PayPal I didn't notice a  2.5% foreign fee, I bought my P4 directly from DJI I live in Canada.

I ordered today direct from DJI.  Similar prices to UK resellers anyway, I also bought the refresh policy and fly more package.  There is another company offering extra insurance bit it worked out more including any excess.

PayPal definitely charge foreign exchange costs. Must have been a US dollar purchase - DJI probably sell to North America in US dollars - no?

In the U.K. Try both Jessops.com and Wexphotography - both are authorised dealers and both do 12 months interest free finance. Free loans basically. I ordered with Jessops as they got me my phantom 3 4K on its release day

Seller will be charged 1% more for foreign buyer. I don't think buyer pay more than what they have to pay unless they pay by card.

How'd you get that price. My mate is a senior software engineer for Apple and has asked a few times in the past for me but the atandard U.K. 17% off and 25% off (friends and family and then employee) apparently don't apply to DJI products?

Direct from DJI here.

My company I work for.. employee purchase program. 10% off at the Apple Store ...  10% off accessories and the webtsife class the mavic as an one.
Did the same with the p4.

Can pick another mavic lipo up for £74 I think

Next time use Rogers Master Card as they have 0% Foreign Transaction Fees. You can also use Amazon Canada Visa as well

Awesome. It didn't do it with the P3 when I got it. Excellent news!

I bought direct from dji.com and can't wait.  I'm very curious when the first orders will start to ship.
