Can anyone tell me what the following means?  I was out flying and this message kept popping up.
What am I doing to cause this?
How can I prevent this?
Any other suggestions?

DJI placed some limits on the aircraft's propulsion a few app/FW versions ago.

Not much you can do about it.

Your batt is low or or the cells are falling to low when under heavy load. Example would be fast forward flight etc. It is to keep you from burning that 10c pack up.

I had the same warning today, i used a new battery (Fully charched) no bad cells, flying very relaxed, no wind. The warning popped up now and then and dissapeared.  I really don't no what the reason is.
Before the new DJI GO app never had this.

Hi,were you flying aggressively like full throttle when this occurred ?
Could you please provide a screenshot of the error message?

I had this message a week or so back. I never fly aggressively or with maxed out throttle. But there were sharp wind gusts, so I am presuming that it was this that caused the sudden power drain, triggering the message, since I was flying in GPS mode. A look at the battery cell display showed them in the red, so it is probably a good thing that the power limitation activated, even though the battery had a fair amount of life left in it.

Yes, I was flying aggressively...full throttle foward.  The battery warraning came on and I was returning home.  This also was happening during the flight from the begining, and yes, I was going full throttle.  I was compairing my carbon fibor props VS my high altitude props.  I am assuming this is a "fail safe".  Please see photo.

SimonMW, yes I was flying aggressively because I wanted to test out the carbon fiber prop VS my high altitude props and had it full throttle.  I can only assume this is a fail safe for the quad/battery's.  Wias was maybe 5 to 7MPH and it did not matter if I was flying into the wind or with it.

That was why then. One of your cells fell bellow allowed limit. 3.7 I think it is. Fast forward flight is ok for when you have 55% or more in the pack. After that you will likely hit the propulsion is limited message. Granted I am saying 55% because as the pack ages this will go up or be lower for a newer pack.

I also just seen your voltage of 3.51 volts. Remember traffic light colors. Green = Go, Yellow = Caution, = Red = STOP! and let the pack recover back to yellow. What is the age of that pack also?

Thanks.  I just bought this brand new with 1 TB47 & 2 TB48 battery's (don't remember which one I had in it) about 2 weeks ago.  I'll keep an eye on the battery cells if this happens again.  As long as it is nothing to be two worried about.

The warning is due to the full throttle,I'd suggest you to move sticks gently.

I fail to see how this has anything to do with battery cells or anything else for that matter. I get the message on virtually every flight. I fly commercially and so fly slowly most of the time.

OK, however, may not be an ideal situation to do that every-time, but, if it is just a fail safe and will not hurt anything then I will not be to concerned about it.  Please advise, again.

It always happened when the aircraft return to home?
What about moving the stick gently?

So it always happened when the aircraft was returning home, right?
I'd suggest you to send it in for further evaluation.

Mindy, it happens often in different situations. One of this, in my case, is when, but not limited to, returning to home.

I would check the Battery pack cells for low voltage or use a new battery pack to rule out the battery.

Hope that helps with my 2 cents included

The same with new and old batteries...

I would send it back to DJI for Evaluation of your unit,  My Inspire 1 X5R did the same and crashed within a few minutes from taking off .. all looked okay on take off..

It was the the First day I installed the X5R and on the 5th flight the same exact message and crash.

Same Message and then all four blades stopped!!!

I am Thankful it was fixed under warranty and should be here returned to me in Florida no later then Tuesday this week.

It could be an ESC unit or Motor drawing to much current  ...  if you look at my posting you will get a list of parts changed by DJI

Best Regards

Neil
