Although I received my Mavic Pro with the ordered bag I was looking for a better solution to bring my Mavic around hazzle-free on my motorcycle, when skiing and hiking ........

I ordered a tank-bag for my BMW which can also be used as backpack by mounting back-pack straps. Mavic + all accessories (chargers, batteries etc.) fit in perfectly using the moulded insert of the original box as safe receptacle for the Mavic, batts and RC. When riding the bike and filming with Mavic in any track-mode, RC can be arrested safely on top of the tank-bag with straps, when skiing or hiking tank-bag is nicer to bring with me as backpack than original Mavic-bag ................ Just look for a convenient tank-bag at Your local bike-store.

fitted molded foam inserts would give even more space to stow away more stuff but I dunno where to let them be built.

Right now it suffices .............

This looks a nice idea to make the mavic and controller less vulnerable in a tank bag or pannier.

Definitely! These are great I might actually get these. The mavic can really fit in just about bag but these open up a lot of options as well thank you for sharing!
