I notice when the fan switches on at startup or if the gimbal spins fast (from clockwise) from selfie mode to front facing the fan make contact with something internally and makes a plastic ticking sound for a split second until it settles. Anyone else ?

This has been a problem a long time ago even to the extent that the fan would jam/lock up in the housing, it was just a matter of a 'flick' with your finger and it will start up again. some sent it in for this repair others didn't.
In your case I wouldn't bother about it, (Is it just on start up when the gimbal does a self calibrate, or is it also when you operate the gimbal?) just keep a eye on it, unless you want to send it in for repairs, witch I presume you don't want to really send it in.
