Hello guys. I sent my mavic pro by regular mail service USPS to anothe country before christmas. And somebody stole my new mavic pro and activated!!! Can u imagine that ?
I dont know who did it. I need to collect info for police. Please help me. I know my serial number and date of activation!

would be great if DJI offered a service like Apple..where if reported stolen, the mavic could be fully grounded/disabled. Even better, let the original registered owner login to the DJI site and activate the lock themselves. Would be a great marketing point for DJI as well.

Exactly. But the problem is it was new not activated i even did not touched it (((

my inspire came with the serial number on the outside of the packing carton, so did the mavic,   if you still have the outer cardboard original box you may be ok

I presume someone had to sign the receipt for the delivery.  Can you check with the carrier?  
Edited:  Wait, in looking back it seems to say YOU sent it to another address via regular USPS.  Scratch my last comment.  Was it insured?  Good Luck!

Yeah i know my serial number. I just wondering is it possible to get info in which country it has been activated and may be to know flight routes ....

They stole  my mavic in transit country

DJI should be able to track the data from flight records. Also keep a note if came back for repair...

Try sending a PM to a DJI moderator.  I'm hoping DJI do NOT ground it so it can be tracked when turned on & get the police there.

*edited by mod for offensive content* And its weird that you're in the US and shipping a drone to RU via USPS and not UPS, FedEx, etc... not to mention there would be a customs slip showing who signed for it... good luck but sounds a bit fishy

DJI have no official support in RU yet. So i wrote here for help. May be some one met the same troubles and as a signal for DJI that it would be grate to have service FIND MY DRONE )

I will post any results here! I provided serial number and order number for tech guys. And date of activation which i gathered from tech support. Lets see what will happen.

That already answers my question: Yes, DJI is willing to help in such cases. Let's hope someone synchronizes flight records or has enetered personal data so that you will finally get your drone back.

In terms of privacy laws, it might go like this:

• DJI says, we have some data that can be helpful, but due to privacy rules we can only give them out to the police. This is case #something.
• Customer goes to police and asks them to officially ask DJI about case #something.
• Police asks DJI about case #something. DJI provides information to police.
• Police gets the bird! Customer happy. Bad thief gets slapped.

At least would be helpfull name of country, but better if we can find that bad guy and get back mavic. This case will help stop mail criminal.

I always start them up at the store I purchase from and go outside and fly it to make sure its a keeper.  Four purchases, no returns yet.

It was stole in transit country in (EU)  i've got official answer from DJI.
Please don't follow the stereotypes.  There was two transition countries

I'll report to Russian Police so they will report Interpol to find  thief.

No, I try and purchase major purchases from my local hobby shop.  When he called and said it was in I asked him to go ahead and open it and charge it up.  Did the same thing for a P4 and a Q500 4K.   Repeat business also meant that while most folks were p&m ing about the delays I was able to fly mine.   Not sure how many planes, heli's, engines and radios I have purchased from him over the years.

Police asked dji support to provide flight logs, and guess what ? Nothing. Agent just said ip adress and country where it has been activated and that's all. He also said that will forward email to one department and nothing happens. I am upset. How police can find it without coordinates from dji?

Can we Blame the  Russkies...We all know there shady as FU--
