ok, so my Mavic Pro has been throwing encoder errors every now and then. Annoying but it's still been useable. Yesterday it chucked an error mid flight. no big issue. previously when it's done that it's stopped recording and saved the file of what was shot so far. i've just checked the card, and it looks like even though the Mavic had been recording up until the encoder error occurred and even though the handset indicated that it had finished recording, the file hasn't been closed, and so it's unreadable by any of my NLE's / QuickTime Player. Has anyone experienced this before? and any clues on how i might unbreak that file? as it has some rather epic footage contained - and it's so frustrating to see that there's 2.1GB of data there that I can't get to...

it would appear after a lot more searching that this seems to be the fix. there's a few holes in this workflow, but i'll see if I can fix them, and report back.

i'm actually chatting with support at the moment about the air encoder errors.  it's gotten to the point now where my Mavic Pro is throwing an error 8 out of 10 times i turn it on, and when it does work, it'll only record for a few minutes before it fails again.  yeesh.
