Read the manual buddy.

The manual doesn't even have a trouble shooting section. How can the manual help me if i don't even know what the problem is. The remote is telling me "ready" but nothing is happening.

Can you provide more information?  Are the props spinning? Is it up in the air, just not going anywhere?

Yikes.  Please be careful.
You don't just thottle forward.

You need to start the motors.  Then you throttle up.

I HIGHLY SUGGEST you start in an area that is not around people and just practice goign up and down first.

This is about the easiest thing to fly in the world and if you are having trouble now, you are going to be sucked in to a fake sense of security.

I HIGHLY reccoment that instead of flying your Mavic, you go buy yourself a SYMA X5C and learn how to fly that for $50 for the benefit of everyone around you and your poor UAS that I can promise you, you will crash with this question.

There needs to be no trouble shooting as to why throttling up does nothing.

You will hurt yourself, someone else, or lose your bird if you don't learn the basics first. It is best to learn to cut with a butter knife before a butcher knife.

You will be a lulled in to a false sense of security provided you by all the safeguards on the bird and then you will do something eventually that will damage your bird and you will be upset and blame the bird or something.

I am telling you, spend even a week or two flying a Syma X5C for a week or two and learn the basics of flght and then your bird will seem like warm butter.
