I have a X5R from my Osmo. It appears I can't buy the Inspire 1 drone only, but if I buy the Inspire 1 V2.0 with the cheap X3, can I put my X5R on it?

I rarely shoot my gimbal and my drone (currently a P4 and a Mavic Pro) at the same time, so I figured I already own the expensive piece of the Inspire 1 Raw, is it as simple as getting the cheapest package and putting my expensive camera on it?

Yes, works fine. Im switching my X5R the whole Time between Osmo and Inspire.
Get yourself a good used Inspire 1. The Market should offer plenty of them at the Moment. :-)
