Nice video! I know Key Biscayne is an State Park, and as National Parks flying drones in such places is not allowed. Did you get any special permit or just flew there with no issues?

Small correction to another post, Key Biscayne is an Island and not a State park but Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park is located within Key Biscayne. Drone flying there is usually not permitted, I've been wanting to go film the lighthouse for a while now. Did you just happen to go there on a day where no Rangers were there paying attention? That place is usually pretty full on the weekend so it seem like you were there on a weekday. Nice video.

Agreed...... Did 95% of flying over the water. I thought it was pretty spread out out there. but I guess crowded has different perspectives. Will avoid in the future. But anyways there were two other guys out there with drones also. Another mavic and a phantom. I didn't notice any park rangers. There were some guys patrolling back and forth on ATV's but never said anything. It was on a Monday so was less busy I would assume.  I have to say I saw some crazy reckless flying in south beach from a kid with a mavic. I wish I pulled my osmo out to record him and he had strong interference because his light was blinking yellow on the back.

Hey Masdog... all is good but as long as we self regulate each other we will be better off in the long run. My 2nd house is on the other side of the Biscayne Bay, in North Beach area, and I believe you when you say a lot of those idiots fly recklessly everywhere but it doesn't give us a pass card to do it if they are doing it.

MHO, I always check the area where I want to fly before I fly to make sure I can fly legally and safely.

If accidents keep happening and posted online, sooner or later Police and or FAA will start browsing the internet to catch those offenders like they started doing few years ago to go after child pornography or entrap sex offenders lurking online.

SAFETY AND COMMON SENSE FIRST - FUN ALWAYS

A little definition of "CROWDED":

crowded
ADJECTIVE
(of a space) full of people, leaving little or no room for movement; packed.ex:
‘a very crowded room’
‘the crowded streets of Southwark’
https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/crowded

So according to this... I STILL DON'T SEE ANY CROWDED BEACHES IN HIS VIDEO
Again: common sense!!! Do you need a definition for that too?

:-)

SAFETY AND COMMON SENSE FIRST - FUN ALWAYS

A little definition of "CROWDED":

Maybe you need to put your reading glasses if you can't see it ... .

Now maybe in Brazil, crowded beaches means, where 1 million people go down to the beach all at the same time.

But here, in the video, starting from 1:40, he had a good shot showing the entire beach (even though it is tiny compare to your COPACABANA beaches) but again it is a TINY BEACH and RESTRICTED BEACH, from the north side all the way to the south and it had umbrellas and people ALONG the entire TINY beach which means crowded in that sense.

Still one person getting injured is ONE person too MUCH. This is NOT called: PARANOIA but
COMMON SENSE, SAFETY.

It can also means that:

I CARE ABOUT YOU BAMBINO

AND

I DON'T WANT MY LITTLE FRIEND FALLING ON YOUR HEAD  {:4_177:}

Get it

Poor narrow minded guy... I don't have a clue what you consider a crowded beach... and well, Copacabana,  the only  beach you may  heard of in Brazil, ... right now  looks like this:
Don't take it to personal, man... Brazil have a thousands of beautiful beaches, many of them with "CROWDS" of joyful rednecks as you, considering you have ever left your backyard... other are very secluded and protected, where you would love fly your quad....

So now the real YOU, the well educated you is coming up to the surface.  (Get it??)

One suggestion maybe you should slow down on your so called diving it might be affecting your judgement and common sense.

When you loose your argument you start with the name calling. Really admire your intellect. This really shows your level of education and maturity...  . You even degrade your own people and really tells a lot about YOU???

As I said before, if one person might get injured is ONE person too MUCH. This is NOT called: PARANOIA, but it is called being CIVILIZED.

When someone is diligent about NOT hurting their fellow human being, it is called being CARING. It is called COMMON SENSE and it is called being SAFE.

For your information this is the US and NOT Brasil. You want to fly here better read on the SAFETY GUIDELINES from the FAA, since probably when you visited you had to register your drone.

Fly at or below 400 feet
    Keep your UAS within sight
Never fly near other aircraft, especially near airports
Never fly over groups of people  (more than one person... )
Never fly over stadiums or sports events
Never fly near emergency response efforts such as fires
    Never fly under the influence
    Be aware of airspace requirements

Take good care, and go find a desert for flying, idiot... Yes this is the real me and go  #  yourself!!

Buy a drone (you clearly don't even have one) , and be happy... Or keep enjoing your life in the couch reading this forum the whole day, and being a pain   (MR SECOND OFFICER)....

I thought you are going to be "ignoring sedentary me FOR NOW ON" but I guess your ego could NOT help it "Mr. Trump of Brazil"? Couldn't you?... Couldn't you?

Again you indulge us with your refine intellect "Mr. World Traveler"....

Once you don't have any words to express yourself intelligently, you start by calling people names...

So let's start... You said:

"keep enjoying your life IN the couch"???   I guess you are used to living "IN THE COUCH"!!!
but to me my couch is called: SOGNO... probably you heard of it since you are such "Renowned World Traveler"...

You said:

"Trying to depreciate Brazil" ???   I guess you are really a financial wizzzzzz

Woww, you can "DEPRICIATE the entire country" in one sentence.  Bravo, très formidable...

I have few friends from Brazil and they are definitely proud to be from Brazil, (and not like someone we know) and they never put their own people down or degrade them by calling them names like you did in your previous post.

and you call yourself "World Renowned Creative Traveler"!!!

So, in your "Creative Mind", if being careless, flying while endangering other people and properties is boring to you and doesn't qualify to be creative then please "go ahead...make my day" and call me "Mr Boring".

Creative people like you are the one who are endangering the hobby and the industry by helping politicians everywhere enacts more and more restrictions on the drone industry because of their irresponsible, childish stunts and for your information this is "NOT BEING CREATIVE."

Flying over people, flying over streets, flying carelessly so you can have less then 10 votes on Youtube doesn't make you CREATIVE or WANNABE Actor... but an.... You can fill the blanks yourself since you are good at calling people names....

Again, when you grow up and you can manage to have an intelligent and creative debate then you call on me your, friend forever, "Mr. Boring"....

OK...Concorda, meu pequeno amigo

If you did NOT get "pulling his legs", then let me answer your question (BTW, you asked for it...)

It depends on how big of a space your girlfriend is taking, covering, shadowing then you might be breaking the law! ...

By the way the rule sounds like it will be changed soon. The FAA have been conducting test and its about .03% of a chance to cause head injury from a falling drone. Test was with a phantom 3. But falling wood or metal with the same mass is at 99% chance of head injury. Drones in the future might possibly be certified to fly over people safely. Their new safety research will start in June. We will see how it goes.

Mas,

I do appreciate a civil conversation and I do appreciate that you took the high road and said you DID not know about being illegal to fly in that area of Biscayne park.

You know how our system work not only with government but with lawyers etc. These machines are NOT 100% full proof and the government will say one day is safe the next sorry we were wrong.

The link below measure the force of "1 brick falling from a height of only 11 feet" hitting you on the back or the head. Look at the Force of Impact "3,168" (lbs-force) and that is only from 11 feet.

Please read it and let me know if it is worth flying over people and taking the chance that the drone might loose power and fall on someone's head or body from a height of 100+ feet.

I am not willing to take that 0.000001% chance, is anyone else willing to gamble in killing or paralyzing someone for life???

Click on this link and skip to page 4.

We can have fun and enjoy our hobby, profession etc. but we can also be responsible human being too. Believe me it won't hurt and it will never hurt...

When you are back down in Miami, PM and we can fly together...

2 - I won't try to teach you speak portuguese... because you must be too dumb to learn another language than your native one... my English may not be perfect, but you got the idea to go **** yourself, didn't you? That makes satisfied...

Once again...  Hmmmmmm... Where did I read that before???

Once again, you indulges us with your limited vocabulary, your refine intellect but again NO SURPRISE here...

I usually don't go into pi... contest but just to show when people A S S U M E things it will only come back and bite in the behind and if you can spell ASSUME = ASS U and not me.

So since you are so concerned about me not buying a drone and not flying, please help me choose which machine I should use to fly...
