G'day All

I'm looking to get the P3A a new home out of the box it came in and have been trying to find the best option. I think I like the carrycase idea better than the backpack but am interested in opinions on benefits/drawbacks of each. The only thing that I'm hesitant about with the carry case is that I might want to take the drone to some locations that mean a bit of walking and the backpack might be better for that.

I have the hard backpack.  Best of both worlds.  Max  protection, but i can still sling it over my shoulder when needed.

Thanks for the reply Skywalker - you must be the only pilot with an opinion either way......Cheers

i have both a carry case and a backpack for my P3 4K.

the carry case is nice for trips in the car or RV as it bigger and offers more protection, and it holds a tad more stuff spaced out.

the backpack is nice though for out hiking and still holds everything i need, just more tightly cramped inside

I have both too, but, I think ive used carry bag once, always use back pack as stated above, wear it or sling over my shoulder.

I am traveling overseas in June. I bought this hard case which is also a back pack for my drone.

It's small enough I can actually fit it inside my suitcase but also can take on as hand carry.

FlySuzu: hard case for lugging around and soft case when you walk. Softcases are pretty cheap if you check the usual sources eBay, Amazon etc.

I've liked the Manfrotto backpack myself.

I like the hardcase...   a bit bulky,  but can leave the propellers on.

Thanks everyone - appreciate the feedback. Think I'll probably end up with both as well - maybe the hard case first s I can keep the props on and I won't be walking too far in the sort term as it's coming into winter and likely to be wet....

Cheers

Got to agree. The manfrotto d1 is the only bag on the market that doesn't look like a airport luggage on your back. I can also carry my Nikon full frame dslr and a extra lens with no issue on top of a p4 with 3 batteries, charger, controller and lanyard.
