so i just bought a X5 vibration board/gimbal mount for my Inspire 1. currently just using my X3 but the part was cheap so grabbed it. but was wondering in the rear what the two small angle parts are for? they swivel but dont come into contact with anything?? now doing a Google search i see some are pictured not having these, while other have them? i attached pictures to show what im asking

They stabilize the rear mounting for the X5 and X5 raw cameras and are not needed for the X3

how though when the angle is on the top? while the bottom part is small nub

Actually they are only used with the X5R.
The X5 doesn't come close to them.
The X3 and Z3 do not either.

have a picture? cause i cant see how they would come into contact being on top by the body

The levers are on the top but on the underside they engage the rear of the X5R as shown here.

Sorry, the X5 uses the center tab of the new mount (as seen in the video 1:57) and the two outboard tabs are only for the X5R camera.

yeah no i see it now for the X5R. but it just seems like a poor mounting setup

I cannot say if it is bad or good because I do not own either of these camera's. DJI does a good job of engineering most things and it looks to mainly be a stabilizer. Most the support is at the locking hub.
