I tried using Goggles v2  and found that the Avata onboard recordings are in a HEVC / HVC1 format and cannot be played unless I update my video codex on the player, or convert them.
When I switch to the Goggles 2, the Avata video recordings can now be played with a standard video player.

Has anyone seen this before or is it a known issue.

The Avata used is the same between the two googles during the test.
The problem is only when I fly with the Goggles v2.

I received a reply from the DJI Support. The Goggles v2 only support H.265 when using them to fly the Avata.
