Warehouse Construction Video - May

Very nicely flown and filmed.  The footage really gives you a better feel for the huge size of the warehouse.  Do they have an anticipated completion date yet?

I have five more months of flight so I'm assuming their scheduled completion is around there if everything goes according to plan.

Indeed - it's been years since I've been to NYC. I remember calling my mum from the top of one of the world trade towers - I think it was in 1992.

It is considering my brother worked for Sotheby's in NY for 5 years from 2000-2005 and I never visited him! One of my smaller regrets in life.

NY is nice to visit. Hard to live there. I have worked in the City on and off through my life. I prefer to avoid the commute.

I have an insurance inspection and a roof inspection today. Not pretty but it keeps me flying as long as the weather cooperates.

How long does the average combined inspection usually take?  I know it will differ based on building or home size but was just wondering what a ball park figure for time to do one would be.

Solar inspection is about an hour. The insurance inspection depends on the damage. The one I had today took about 30 minutes because the crows didn't like the drone.

Interesting to know.  I set up a small skeet range to practice on and since I've been using it a lot more lately I haven't seen as many crows.

YOu can see the branding all over their sites. They are proud of how the work a site.

Be careful as it is probably illegal to shoot crows in NY.    I got rid of the gulls by flying a kite with a picture of an owl on both sides.  The crows don't like the shotgun blasts at my skeet range so for the time being I only have to worry about a pesky falcon.  One day he will be no more.

No argument from me on how loud those crows can screech.  It certainly can get irritating.

They were startling me. I was flying at about 70 ft and they were flying between the roof and the drone to chase me away.

Yeah, that's being a bit to aggressive for them to try and block you out.  Maybe they have a nest nearby?

Yes, you can usually tell when a crow is near as they love to hear they own loud caws.

I've also learned from the University of Florida Agriculture website that crows dislike the scent of Eucalyptus plants.  Seems these plants also contain a good amount of the compound citronella so they should be good to repel mosquitoes also.

Yes they are.  I call them silence breakers when I hear them locally.  Fortunately, that is not often.
